Located on a stunning mountaintop estate near beaches and shopping, this guest suite features unobstructed views of Pelican Bay and a backdrop of the rugged Kalmiopsis Wilderness. Enjoy the hiking trails just off the property or venture out to Southern Oregon before returning to prep drinks in the kitchenette and soak in the hot tub while you watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

Vistas Galore, Including Elk

Beautiful property perched up high on top of a hill. Lovely grounds. Well manicured. Tastefully decorated unit. Small kitchenette but has what you need. Lots of windows that allow you to see the views of the hills and ocean, weather permitting. Saw a herd of elk running by us at the bottom of the driveway one of the evenings. Was our best wildlife encounter of the trip. Our host Patti was very welcoming and informative.

Beautiful, even in the fog

My partner and I spent 3 lovely days here. The accommodations were perfect for us. Even though the owners live on the property it felt very private. Patti was easily accessible when I texted about needing ice. She came right down with an ice bucket full of ice along with an ice pick as the freezer desperately needed to be defrosted! The kitchen is small with a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The hot tub was a great treat as the temperature was very cool. It is a bit tricky to get to so we made sure we were back before dark.

A lovely quiet hideaway

Perched atop a hill with expansive views of the ocean, the mountains, and the lights of Brookings, this is a lovely place for peace and quiet. The space is clean and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. Waking up to views of the ocean is wonderful. A few things to know: The kitchenette does the job, but I would have been challenged with a longer stay. And while the property is private, the owners are on site, so it is not quite 100%. But they were super nice and welcoming, and happy to leave us to our space. We would absolutely stay here again!

Don't miss a chance to find peace and beauty, surrounded by gorgeous Pacific Ocean beaches and vistas, right in the backyard of Redwood National Parks. How I got so lucky to choose exactly where I wanted to visit. And how the property owners were so warm and welcoming. The apartment was immaculate. You just knew you were being cared for.

Breathtaking Views

We came for a much needed break and reason to celebrate out anniversary. The owners were very kind, personable and helpful in suggesting places to site see and eat. The accomodations were fabulous, every window gave an amazing view. My favorite is suprisingly in the bathroom, as the reflection you get is the view of the mountains because the front door is glass! Definetly on our list to revisit next time we need a get away! The hottub at sunset is remarkable! You feel on top of the world!

Texas Vacationers to Smith River

The views from this property are spectacular -exceeded expectations. The drive up the mountain to the property was not bad except when any fog rolled in. My only concern was that I was not aware of is the deep bathtub that I was not able to lift my leg high enough in order to get into the shower. I do have weak legs but this should be brought to attention. My husband has no limitations as I do but struggled some getting in/out of tub enclosure. Safety bars would be recommended to assist having something to hold onto when getting into/out of the tub.The bed was very comfortable but was high off the ground. I was able to get into and out of bed after taking the hammock from the living area to stand on. Property owners were extreme nice and accommodating.

Most Amazing

If looking for a private place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel/ cabins available, I would highly recommend booking here. It is very centrally located and the view is just beautiful. It is kinda tricky to find at first, you can take Ocean view from either side of HWY 101 north bound or south bound. From north need to turn at the Lucky Seven Casino follow it to Surfside, turn at the white fence, it kinda hidden. Follow it all the way up to the entrance gate that says Nautical Heights, yes a gated community. It takes about 7 minutes to reach the place either way. From the south off 101 take Oceanview, both ways will take you to a stone concrete bridge turn at that bridge. Keep going up following the paved road to the gate. Call her and she will buzz you in, then follow the paved road up and at the end it does turn into gravel, do not panic, just follow that road all the way up to the B&B. When you get there just stop and marvel at the sight. It is 974 ' up and the views are absolutely amazing. Now for the apartment, it is arranged a little different but understand that it had to be to put the apartment in. Very spacious for 2, well kept, clean, and cozy. Has a kitchenette, only microwave, frig, sink and coffee/ tea pots, A few dishes. She does have various morning teas at the ready, we brought our coffee. There are plenty of towels, and extra pillows, the bed is very comfortable. When you get there she will meet you with the key and a gate opener. So you can come and go as you p!ease. Hot tub I used 1 night, just to relax from the bunched up travel. She has a list of instructions, simple and easy, same for the TV simple and easy. If like us though did not watch much tv. Bathroom is a split room, double sinks in one area, bathtub/ shower and toilet in another joined area. Bathtub is deep, so step high, very clean.Once there you do not see them, they do live upstairs but it is very quite. No washer or dryer, we went to Brookings for laundry, but need anything and they will provide. It is well setup, to just go and enjoy. About 2 hours from Arcata airport, but the drive is worth it. Trust me you will be going that way anyway. Stop and get you some maps, there is to much to see in just 5 days. Like I said very centrally located and it will not disappoint, bigger cities are Brookings, OR. and Crescent City, CA. People are very friendly and it was very clean every place we went. I would book again, chance given.
