Kuuntele puroa, tarkkaile luontoa ja ole vain mailin päässä kaupungista. Tässä uudessa kodissa on Australian Cypress-parkettilattiat, sisägrilli, jota lämmittää Tulikivi (suolikivitakka Suomesta) ja jäähdyttää kanjonin tuulet. Asimme täällä useita vuosia eikä koskaan tuntenut ilmastoinnin tarvetta. Koti suunniteltiin antamaan viileän tuulen jäähdyttää sitä. Meillä on kuitenkin myös AC, jotta kukaan ei tunteisi mitään epämukavuutta. Tästä ainutlaatuisesta ulkoasusta, kauniista luonnollisesta puusta, ei jätetty mitään yksityiskohtia, jotta loosumaisema muodostuisi kompaktiin tilaan. Tärkein oleskelutila on ylöspäin yhdellä portaat. Joten huomaa, että pääportaalle on portaita. Pääkerroksessa on yksi makuuhuone, jossa king size-vuode. Laivanmiehen tikkaiden toisella puolella on kaksi parvi-makuuhuonetta, joissa molemmissa on queen-size-vuode ja ylimääräinen yhden asteen sänky. Japanilaisten Shoji-ovien takana on toinen kohotettu makuutila, jossa on kaksi erillistä patjaa sekä matolla varustettu leikkipaikka. 10 hengen nukkuminen voidaan mukauttaa helposti tähän ainutlaatuiseen asetteluun. Poreallas ja kotitoimisto tekevät tästä paikan tulla kotiin ja rentoutua hyvän päivän jälkeen hiihdon, patikoinnin tai pyöräilyn jälkeen. Keittiö on täysin varustettu ja kodissa on pesukone ja kuivausrumpu. Tuo DVD ja käytä 110 tuuman projisointinäyttöämme surround-äänen kanssa. Kanjonitie kulkee vielä 4-5 mailia ja loppuu erämaa-alueelle. Logan – Jackson-pyöräilykilpailun ja Utah-maratonin huipun kanssa molemmat laaksossa tämän kodin ohittavat päivittäin kauniissa ympäristössä harjoittelevat urheilijat.
Talon ulkopuolella on ylellinen yksityinen leikkipaikka, jossa on hiekkalaatikko, leikkimökki, keinut liukumäet ja säädettävä koripallorunko kaikille lapsille, jotka haluavat liittyä sinuun. Siellä on 10 hehtaaria maata kävelylle puron siltojen yli. Olemme nähneet hirviä (melkein joka päivä), pesukarhuja, hirviä, kettua, kaneja, fasaaneja, pöllöjä ja muita villieläimiä, jotka elävät sopusoinnussa tämän kodin kanssa. Olemme kuitenkin yhden mailin päässä postitoimistosta ja McDonaldsista. Meillä on etuna hiljainen yksinäisyys ja silti lähellä kaupunkia. Se on kuin oma yksityinen keidas.
Haluamme jakaa unelma, jonka loimme kauniissa ympäristössä. On 8 hehtaarin tutkittavaksi.

Viikonloppuisin vaadimme kahden yön oleskelua, ellei viikonloppu ole seitsemän tai vähemmän päivää poissa.

We had a great stay at this house. It was clean and well furnished. It sits in the middle of a wooden canyon. The kids had a lot of fun playing outside. There is a playground, a small soccer field and a basketball hoop. It was also fun to explore the property and the creek area. The house had everything we needed. Nice play area for kids, comfortable beds. We just had to get organized as there is only one bathroom. Easy access to all commodities.

We had an amazing time at the Canyon Lodge. The property was clean and very well stocked. It accommodated our family of 8 perfectly. The best part was the property is pet friendly so we were able to bring out 2 dogs making it a complete family trip. There was nothing about the lodge or the property we didn't enjoy. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit, projector screen for movies, toys for the kids, games and puzzles and exploring the property. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer : )Tom was lighting fast to respond to any and all messages (much appreciated) We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks again Tom!

What a lovely place to stay! It is quiet, quaint, and comfortable. The hammock chair was a huge hit, not to mention the wall of DVD's, books, and games to choose from. We really didn't have to leave to have a good time, although we did get out to explore. There are highland cows nearby!!! Tom was a gracious host. You will not be disappointed!

The house is very unique and fun. Quite location near town but feels like you are out in the woods. The host was very friendly and easy to work with. We had everything we needed. The only drawback we noticed was that there is only one bathroom (not a surprise, it was in the listing) and a couple of the mattresses were pretty hard.

Our anniversary trip was made even more special because we chose to stay at the lodge. Its location was close to downtown Logan for good eats and Beaver Mountain for snowboarding but felt like we were staying at a country retreat with little traffic noise. We enjoyed watching and listening to the turkeys roam the property in the mornings and mule deer greeted us as we drove through the neighborhood. The Tulikivi stove/fireplace was so amazingly cozy it was hard to tell that snow was falling outside! Tom was available no matter the hour and his directions were better than any app ) We'd definitely return to and highly recommend the lodge for a stay in Smithfield. Mahalo nui loa Tom!

This was a great place to stay and go nowhere for a couple of days! Our family of 7 loves this cabin. The fireplace kept us plenty warm, and we made use of a lot of the jigsaw puzzles, games, toys, books, projector, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed so we never had to eat out, and the outside is a paradise! We love the playground, short hikes through the forest, my sons love playing in the creek, football in the field, making leaf piles, and all the ambiance! And we saw a huge flock of turkeys multiple times. Tom is really easy to work with, and responds quickly.

This property is enchanting. Wildlife (turkeys and deer) were present throughout our Autumn Break stay. The home is equipped with everything needed for a getaway. We were impressed with the owner’s immediate responsiveness to questions we had. We will definitely consider staying here again.

It was so cold while we were there, but the stove in the middle of the house kept things toasty warm, with such a cozy ambiance! We loved seeing turkeys, walking the trails, floating bark boats in the creek, playing sports, and just sitting around the huge dining table playing games, coloring, or putting puzzles together. It has become a yearly tradition for our family. We’ll be back!

This home was Gorgeous and in a beautiful location. Everything was immaculate and the owners provide everything you need to make this a home away from home. We enjoyed movies on the projector and a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. We even had a family of deer visit us while playing a game of PIG on the basketball court. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We loved it and will be visiting again!

We had a short weekend trip to the property and had a great time. We played basketball, card games and cooked up a great breakfast. We even ordered Doordash one of the nights because we didn't want to cook. The property feels secluded because of it's size and trees, but it is close enough to town to get food. It is also only an hour to Garden City, which made it easy to spend a day at Bear Lake and then drive back and relax. We would definitely stay here again.

We wanted to take our kids to the slopes for the first time. Instead of going to a busy resort we decided on somewhere out of the way. We found this here. The cabin/lodge was in a perfect location. The lodge location was quiet with room to play inside and out. We were about 20 minutes from a perfect small ski resort and within 90 minutes of another. We tried both and were not disappointed. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I think we wished for was a second bathroom. The only source of heat (it was 25 degrees outside) is the wood burning stove. We learned quickly that this is not an ordinary wood stove..... You make a fire and the stone heats up and keeps the entire place at a cozy temperature all day. Too much fire and you're gonna want to open the windows and doors:) Do not be worried about staying warm as there is plenty of firewood on site mere steps away from the stove, so no toting or splitting required. The communication with the owner is great. He responds very quickly to any questions or issues. There is very little cell service (we have Verizon) in the lodge, however the wifi works great. There is a projection TV, however we stayed busy on the slopes and playing in the abundance of snow while we were there. Overall I would highly recommend this lodge and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in the home and the property was awesome to explore the trails. Awesome amenities, we really enjoyed the basketball court and the outside fire pit. Our stay was short , but we would definitely recommend it, Especially for longer stays.

Had a great stay. Enjoyed the house and property. The only downside was didn’t realize the fireplace was the only heat source so when we arrived house was very cold and had three kids under the age of two. But once we got the home heated didn’t have problems again. The house stayed warm. Had an enjoyable family time.
