Guests will find a queen bed and a full bed (in the homes loft with limited clearance on the steps) perfect for a small group or family. The single bathroom features a beautiful tile shower. Enjoy a comfortable stay with heating and an electric fireplace or air conditioning to suit any season. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or outdoors on the deck planning your next adventure or letting your furry friends roam the fenced in yard, this tranquil space offers a wonderful base. Our place is equipped for both long or short stays to make your holiday one to remember.

Loved the location of this cabin! It was the perfect setting for enjoying fall weather and foliage. All necessaries were exceptionally provided with a few pleasant surprises - automatic lights as parking and entering, fire pit and roasting tools, very comfy furniture and fully functioning kitchen! Dinner at Charred Oak Grill in Somerset was also a 5 star experience. Big Thank You to our hosts!

Stress-Free Getaway

Fishing Creek Cottage was exactly what my husband and I were hoping for in our trip to Lake Cumberland. A cozy, clean home away from home with beautiful furnishings, and a lake vacation vibe. The gorgeous deck overlooking the lake was a highlight of our stay, and offered plenty of room for outdoor relaxing and dining. The driveway was the perfect size for our truck and boat and just minutes from Lee's Ford Marina. We enjoyed the short drives to Somerset and Nancy, while being tucked away at the end of a quiet lane. We're so appreciative of our host. We would love to stay at Fishing Creek Cottage again.

We had a great two night stay. Had everything we needed and was well kept and clean. The views from the porch were beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet. Lots of shade on back porch.

Anniversary trip

My wife and I stayed for a weekend getaway. The property was great. There were many unlisted amenities. Do recommend. Maybe its intentional(bright evenings), but the limbs of the trees did obscure the lake view a bit.

Had to clean the deck chairs and table and grill before we could use. Dead bugs on ledge in the bathroom not cleaned prior to arrival. Washed bath mat that was very dirty. Garbage can had not been taken to the curb for at least a month cleaned up after raccoons every morning.

Tranquility close to everything

I fell in love with this beautiful little cabin, nestled atop a cliff with a spectacular view of Lake Cumberland! I plan to return to the area and will absolutely stay here again. Everything was tidy, thoughtful, and welcoming! It was pure kismet that brought me to this property, and I'm so glad I found it.

2nd time booking this cute place

This is our second time staying at this adorable a-frame. It is a cozy quiet space at the end of a street overlooking the lake. The hosts are very responsive if there is an issue and we will definitely book another stay in the future.

Somerset Ky Lake House

Very clean and well maintained. Loved the story of the house that the owner left in the house detail binder. Was a good central location to visit some great spots on the Lake. Those details are in the binder. Weather was bad the first day there so everything was wet and we did not get to spend much time on the deck. The property is an a frame and may be a little tight in spots for above average height or general body size. We made it work for us and it was just fine.

Quaint, quiet, natural getaway. Our only issue is the trees in the back are overgrown and need to be trimmed. They obstruct what is a million dollar view of the lake! If the lower canopy of the trees were trimmed to open up the view, the time spent on the deck would have been spectacular!

Cozy Cottage With Beautiful Water View

This cottage provided a great home base for exploring the surrounding area. At the cottage, we enjoyed the indoor gas fireplace and the outdoor deck and firepit overlooking Fishing Creek.

Wonderful stay

Great place for small groups. Bedrooms and loft felt private. Slope of ceiling might make it a little challenging for adults to climb stairs to loft but definitely doable. My father in law stayed in the loft and he is over 6ft. It would be perfect for kids. The deck is gorgeous. Living area is comfy. Layout makes it easy to hang out, play games, and cook all together as a family. Bathroom door is barn style and the track could probably use some tlc. The shower is lovely. Would absolutely stay again.
