”I had a really great stay at Villa Maïa in Lyon. The hotel sits up on Fourvière Hill, so the views over the city are absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning and at sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without feeling over the top. What stood out most was the staff—they were friendly, helpful, and made everything feel easy without being pushy. The spa area was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the breakfast was fresh and simple...

”Personel was very helpful and friendly. The rooms was ok, not very high class but worth of price. We had unpleasent smell in our first room but we were offered another room and it was fine. Bathrooms were very good. Neighborhood was ok but there was nothing special to see, there was no restaurants except fast food but it was a short walk to restaurant or to metro.”

”The rooms were ok pretty clean but for being so new already had grout missing in the tile. If you are staying for a rugby match 10/10 on location. If there for the city and you do not have a car it is not an ideal location. Luckily we had a rental car so it was perfect for us.”

Check-in was excellent and the rooms were lovely, making for a great first impression. The main downside was the facilities, which felt limited for this level of hotel — a pool or jacuzzi would have made a big difference.
