”This is gem of a hotel for those looking to stay in Truro. A 10min walk gets you into the town centre, but the hotel feels a world away surrounded by lush gardens. A beautiful historic building that’s been decorated to a high standard. Staff were helpful - and I’m not sure how I managed it, but we got an upgrade to the Bishop Suite - a jaw-dropping room and a bathroom with twin claw foot tubs. Breakfast was good and so were the cocktails. ”

”Arrival was very good, receptionist helpful and knowledgeable when asked for location of places in Marazion. A double room implies it's for two people but there was only one chair in the room (Lamorna) there was only one mug in the bathroom. We returned late on our last evening to find the bed had not been made, neither the bedroom nor the bathroom had been cleaned or tidied. The restaurant menu seemed over keen on food with chilli or curry flavourings and waiters and waitresses, although...
