  • Perfectly rustic and perched on the bank of the Rio Grande, this idyllic getaway will be the grand place to bring the whole family. You'll find gold medal fishing right outside the back door. Step inside, and you will immediately be greeted by the warm wood accents, the inviting wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable furnishings that await in the living area. The two-story layout will give every guest a sense of privacy when needed, yet everyone can easily gather for meals or game nights at the accommodating dining table. The culinary-inclined guests will also be in paradise knowing that they can easily whip up tasty meals with ease in the fully equipped kitchen. Not to mention, the back deck will be just the place to sip a morning coffee as the snow falls or enjoy a glass of wine when the sun begins to dip behind the trees.

    What's nearby:
    Though this getaway offers a perfect mix of privacy and seclusion, you will have the conveniences of town within a four-mile drive from your front door. When everyone builds up an appetite from hiking or river activities, local hubs such as Two Rivers BBQ Restaurant, Tavern & Coffeehouse (a local favorite), Ramones Mexican, and Mountain Pizza & Taproom will all hit the spot in nearby South Fork. If a ski day is on the agenda, don't hesitate to take the scenic 25-mile drive south to Wolf Creek Ski Area, as it is more than ready to assist in making the best memories for all experience levels!

Great riverfront cabin

Spacious and comfortable cabin in a great location with easy river access. The fireplace and large living room and dining area made it a great holiday getaway for the extended family. The owners even decorated for Christmas!

We absolutely loved the property. The neighborhood was quiet and the river was peaceful. The house had everything that we needed and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The kids loved having the river close by to play in and loved watching the neighborhood fox.

Great cabin for two families!

This cabin was perfect for two families with kids! The cabin was stocked well and had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. There was plenty of comfortable beds and the living room furniture was spacious and comfortable. We will stay here again!

Amazing Cabin on the River

Incredible little GEM - right on the river!

Perfect for our family trip. Grandparents downstairs with en-suite bathroom, lots of beds for parents and kids upstairs with a large bathroom. Nestled right on the Rio Grande river - lots of trees, and incredible back patio and yard. Perfect for a getaway!

Great place to recharge

Loved the view from the family room window…..We went during spring break to go skiing with kids. Had plenty on room for everyone. Had a huge array of games to play with friends and family. Just an overall relaxing and clean place to stay. Well definitely come back..

Casa del Rio Cabin

We loved our stay so much. The cabin was so comfortable and has everything you need. Great, warm fireplace. Fun fire pit. Fun fishing in the river just a few steps from the cabin. Plenty of room, comfortable beds. Dog friendly. We will certainly be back!

Amazing Property

We loved everything about this property. It was so comfortable and the host has truly thought of everything. It is so clean and so organized. The place is decorated adorably and has a real Colorado Cabin feel. The view of the river is beautiful. We had 8 teens and adults and had more than enough room. I hope we are fortunate enough to come back here to stay.

Fishing and sightseeing.

The house was very nice and clean. There are just two of us, so we only used the downstairs. I took a peek at the upstairs and there was lots of room for at least four more people. We went to several nearby lakes and caught fish. The river behind the house is beautiful and very accessible for fishing. We are older and wading is a thing of the past for us but I would imagine the fly fishing is wonderful. We would definitely stay again.

Great Family Stay on the Rio Grande

Morning coffee as the sun comes up on the river is something that we will miss. Deer and hummingbirds came to visit daily. House was clean and updated with plenty of space for all our family. Local grocery and hardware stores close by were very convenient. The drive from Denver down highway 285 was breathtaking. Excellent Internet access allowed me to work when needed. Thank you to the owners for their attention to detail.

Beautiful...Just Beautiful ❤️

My family and I stayed here on a three day Vacation. There is plenty of space for a large family but is still small enough to enjoy each other's company. My husband and son loved the River and spent most of their time fishing. My daughter, father in law, and I spent the days driving through the nearby town looking at the beautiful scenery. Everything in the cabin was clean and they also provided complimentary hygiene products (soap, shampoo, conditioner). Of course being near a river and in an area with trees meant there were quite a few mosquitoes, spiders, and ants to deal with but nothing a bottle of OFF couldn't handle. Lastly, the washer and dryer worked well, the internet was strong, and they also had streaming channels such as Disney, Netflix, and Hulu ready to go. We will definitely be coming back here annually. The only complaint I would have would be the amount of fees and taxes stacked on to the rental price which made the great deal we got on this cabin a bit of a wash. Still, I think that any family that stays here will enjoy themselves and leave feeling refreshed.
