No pets allowed.
Linens and towels (both indoor and outdoor) are provided. A post-rental cleaning service is provided, but the property is to be left in a tidy condition (in accordance with the departure checklist provided).
No parties or events. Lead guest must be 30+ years of age.
A supplemental information form must be completed.

Only 30 minutes North of Kingston, in the beautiful South Frontenac region, is where you’ll find idyllic Hambly Lake. The locals call it their “best-kept secret!”
While the lake may feel miles away from civilization, it is actually quite close to the conveniences in town and is just 12 minutes away from a grocery store and LCBO/Beer Store as well as several spectacular hiking and biking trails. Closer to Kingston is where you’ll find shopping, healthcare, restaurants & attractions.
The quiet community of cottagers are rightly proud of their piece of paradise, so this cottage will suit those who enjoy peace, tranquility and the sounds of nature. Your family may have just found their forever vacation cottage!
The landscaped gardens, full of colourful perennials, lead to a sunny dock at this west-facing location. A small sandy beach with a shallow walkout deepens quite quickly to about 10ft off the end of the dock and the water is great for swimming.
The wrap-around deck has seating in sunshine and shade and there’s a picnic table on the lawn for al fresco dining. The gazebo-covered hot tub, discreetly tucked away off the end of the deck, is bound to be a popular year-round feature.
Inside is a lovingly designed space with an open floor plan on the main level; a comfortable living area, dining for 6 and a well-equipped kitchen. The 3 bedrooms on the upper floor are beautifully furnished and the master has an ensuite bathroom.
Whether you’re looking to slip into the hot tub to enjoy the sunset over the lake on a warm spring or fall day, jump in off the dock while the kids build sandcastles on the small beach in the summer, or take a moonlit romantic skate on the frozen lake while enjoying a winter cottage rental - Hambly House it is the epitome of cottage fun in one easy-to-get-to location.

Ontario guidelines to be maintained for any smoking - please don't smoke within 9 meters of any entrance to the building
The cottage has a southwesterly exposure
There is no public boat launch on this lake
Please note that all bedrooms are located upstairs, with no shared bathroom on that floor






Waterfront The waterfront has a small sandy beach with shallow entry deepening quite quickly to around 10' off the end of the dock with clear weed-free swimming.



Trivia The K&P Trail is a recreational hiking and biking trail that runs along the old Kingston and Pembroke Railway (K&P) bed and currently consists of several unconnected sections between Kingston and Renfrew. The southern section of the trail starts in Kingston and runs to Tichborne, a total of approximately 55 kilometres (34 mi), primarily though farmland, with wooded areas dominating further north. Communities on the route include Harrowsmith and nearby Verona. Parts of the trail are shared with the Rideau Trail and the Cataraqui Trail and Frontenac County is working to develop the trail up to Sharbot Lake. (Source - Wikipedia)



Winter Notes The local and cottage approach roads are plowed in winter - nevertheless, good winter tires are essential and 4WD or AWD is highly recommended.
