The location of this hotel is truly amazing, and the property itself is very nice and beautifully maintained. However, considering that the nightly rate is already on the high end, the additional fees significantly impact the overall experience.
I was charged an extra $150 per night for my small dogs and an additional $60 per night for valet parking, which adds up quickly. When I had to check out one night early to avoid being trapped by a storm, I understood being charged for the unused night—but I was also charged the pet fee for that night, even though we did not stay. That felt excessive and unfair.
The staff overall seemed tired and disengaged, particularly at the front desk. It honestly felt like an understaffing or morale issue—perhaps better staffing or compensation would make a noticeable difference in guest experience.
The one bright spot was the woman working at the cafeteria. She was kind, attentive, and clearly overworked, as she was handling both cashier duties and coffee preparation alone for long periods of time. For a property that charges premium nightly rates plus multiple extra fees, there should absolutely be at least one additional person helping her prepare orders.
Overall, this is a great location with a beautiful property, but the extra charges and staffing issues take away from what could otherwise be an excellent experience.
