”Excellent service & staff. All staff found to be very friendly. Breakfast menu good. Property about half a mile from centre of south shields with metro & bus stations. Pleasant walks through local parks & along coast nearby. Parking - widely available as free spaces outside along whole length of road & nearby side roads. Our car left entire duration of our stay as we made use of very good public transport. Excellent base for staying near Newcastle or travelling nearby. Would definitely recommend...

”Great communications to help aid checking in, and signs when you got their first class. Room was spotless, and also a very nice furnished room. Only 2 very small grumbles, one the first night was quite cold and the small radiator near the door struggles to provide the room much warmth, and second one was I thought the bed was small, it could be a standard double but felt slightly smaller. Other than everything was spot on and would use again.”

”Hotel was under renovation, I woke up every morning when construction men started working before 7am. In adding to that there was mold in my room. My eyes were red in the morning and I was feeling awful. After leaving the hotel I got better. The air inside was terrible and stale and it smelt moldy. Breakfast was ok but it was quite expensive when compared to the price. I stayed there 12 nights and on those days free wifi did not work in 6 days. I would not recommed that hotel to anyone. ”
