Emerald Bay with Fanette Island at the center.Fannette Island is the only island in Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada, United States. It lies within Emerald Bay, on the California side of the lake. Over a long period of time, it was called many different names, including Coquette, Fanette, Baranoff, Dead Man's, Hermit's, and Emerald Isle. Fannette Island is a part of Emerald Bay State Park. It is accessible by boat, canoe, or kayak. Swimming to the island is not allowed, due to hazards including extremely cold waters and boat traffic in the area.

”What a nice little secret our stay was so pleasant. The room was so clean The staff is so nice and welcoming when you arrive. The room had been shampooed it look like after every person because they allow animals, but I didn’t smell that there had ever been animals in the room. The hotel offers checkouts of sleds and daily activities. The room is remodeled and very nice having all the options available to us. I would stay here again if I was coming back to Lake tahoe.”

”This is a great 1-bedroom apartment and we enjoyed our stay. Warm, dry, comfortable for a family of 4 to hang out, walking distance to the lifts. Two reasons why great. First, it was very clean. Kitchen, dishes, pots, bathroom, all surfaces, bedsheets, floors. With that knowledge, you can relax and enjoy. Second, the apartment is furnished in a very practical manner, quite rare among rentals. As if the owners often used it themselves. Plenty of storage and hooks for your winter clothes, bathroom...
