Tranquil Tides Cottage 3 miles from the Beach

Relax in this cozy cottage located 3 miles from the ocean. Spacious
3 bedroom,2 bath home with luxurious primary suite bathroom. Primary suite bathroom has a large shower with a teakwood bench, rain shower head and 6 inlaid jets for a relaxing spa experience without ever needing to leave the cottage.
Tranquil Tides has a beautiful front porch to share stories and a privacy fenced backyard with a fire pit. This is the place where memories are made for a lifetime.
The space
My home is a safe space for all. I welcome guests of all races, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations.

The front porch welcomes each guest with its local artisan furniture and ceiling fans for traditional southern hospitality.

Primary suite room has a large king size bed with pillow top mattress that welcomes you to enjoy a restful nights sleep or an afternoon cat nap. The primary suite bathroom has an antique barn door leading from the primary suite into a spa oasis that includes a rain shower head and inlaid jets.

Second bedroom has a queen size bed with a comfy mattress.

The third bedroom has a trundle bed with an upper twin bed mattress and a lower twin bed mattress.

The guest bathroom has new, white subway tile , a teakwood bench to enjoy a relaxing shower after a day at the beach.

Backyard has a 6 foot privacy fence and a fire pit to enjoy the stars!

Please note, to ensure our home is disinfected between stays, we do use bleach products, alcohol based products to clean our home along with other products, depending on the surface that needs to be cleaned.

Convenient Location

Perfect rental close to the beach

This rental was perfect for the days my family and I needed to come in town for a competition my daughter was in. We were able to enjoy Southport, Caswell Beach, etc. with quick access. The house itself was homey and very well maintained.

Amazing wedding stay!

The house and property were simply awesome. Fenced in backyard, front porch and immaculate updated interior with all the room and amenities you could want. We were in town for a wedding but I wish we could have hung out at this beautiful house more than we did.

Beautiful, clean and cozy

We enjoyed our stay at Tranquil Tides Cottage. Everything was extremely clean and very well decorated. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great. There was plenty of towels and toilet paper and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. I enjoyed the backyard fire pit with friends that were staying in the area. It was a nice way to end each day. The cottage was close to everything and the neighborhood was quiet. We didn’t have any issues with the tv connecting or the air/heat. I definitely plan on staying here again if it’s available the next time I am in Southport. Thanks for a clean, pleasant and safe place.

I liked the roominess of the space. The kitchen was well equipped. We had some issues with the cleanliness of some of the areas. The oven was not clean and the refrigerator had a broken pick around the water and ice dispensers. The TV didn't have any connectivity, couldn't watch any channels. There wasn't any instructions on how to leave the place when we checked out, other than press the lock on the keypad. I couldn't access any of the emails even though I have a Vrbo and Expedia account. Each account said there weas no stay associated with the account. I received at least six emails saying "Jen has replied to your message. View their message here." The thermostat was set to 74 in the cool mode. However, there were some cool nights, My wife needed to have the heat on. It would have be better if it was set to heat/cool at 74.

Very Beautiful And Cozy

Way above expectations. Jen was a fantastic host. Wonderful location, has all the amenities especially a nice fenced in back yard with a fire pit. Loved the open space between the living room and kitchen with a nice bar with stools. Wife and I would definitely like to comeback.

Nice and clean with a beachy feel

It was really good. We stayed at a place in Myrtle Beach beforehand which sucked! The decorating is great. I like the private backyard even though we didn’t get to use it because of the weather. everybody was nice and responsive to anything, great place. Highly recommend.

AMAZING!!

I got this house for my daughter and her fiancé to stay on their elopement to the NC coast. The other couple included the friend and his wife officiating the ceremony.The host even left a sweet gift for the newlyweds!! The home is well decorated clean and just lovely. Thank you so much for the extra touches!!

Very nice

Decor was unique. Loved the sliding doors. We didn’t mind the jack and Jill bathroom. But some may not be close enough to have that setup. We didn’t get to use the fire pit due to weather but the back yard was nice. Large tv screen for movie night. The king bed most comfortable. The trundle and queen not so great- but will serve its purpose. We all had a great time- girls getaway for my 60th bday. Jen was very quick to respond! Thanks!

Enjoyable stay for a long weekend in the area :)

We enjoyed our stay at Tranquil Tides. The location is close proximity to everything in the Southport area. It’s also a nice central location if you’re planning to visit Wrightsville Beach, Myrtle Beach, and others in the area. We chose this rental for that reason, and it was a good choice since it was right between all of these areas. The home is clean and well- decorated. It has everything you need for the stay. One thing to be aware of that I couldn’t tell from the listing is that there is also a barn door from the second bedroom that goes into the master bathroom. So, if someone is staying in that adjoining bedroom (which is the one with the daybed and trundle) this could be a big privacy issue since the door doesn’t actually close and lock or even seal. That’s just good to know depending on your group. Otherwise, a great place to stay! I recommend it if you need somewhere in this area!
