Southwest Harbor Cottage askeleen päässä Ocean ja Acadia National Park

Remontoitu 1880-maalaistalossa kylässä Manset, kahden korttelin ylös muodostavat rantaan. Kävele alas rantaan ja katsella toimintaa pitkin työ ranta. Pysähtyä satamanosturi ravintola iltapäivällä cocktaileja tai telakka vene tuoretta hummeria. Samalla kadulla on Seawall ja kävelyreittejä Wonderland ja Ship Harbor. Se on lyhyt 20 min ajomatkan Bar Harbor tai ottaa vapaa Island Explorer, joka pysähtyy Manset Town Dock. Kaupunki Southwest Harbor on noin 3 minuutin ajomatkan, ja on lahja kauppoja, ravintoloita ja erikoisuus elintarvikkeiden markkinoilla.

Talo on sisustettu vastaamaan sen rannikon Maine sijainnin. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on moderni keittiö, jossa kaikki mitä tarvitset loman. Ruokasali pois keittiössä on istumapaikat kuudelle. Olohuoneessa on taulutelevisio kaapeli- ja Chromecastin katsella Netflix tai Hulu. Mökki on varustettu laajakaista WiFi. Sen talon edessä on suljettu kuisti täydellinen alkaa päivä pois kupin kahvia. Tämä kerroksessa on myös täysi kylpyhuone.

Toisessa kerroksessa on kolme makuuhuonetta. Mestari on parisänky ja kylpyhuone suihkulla. Toisessa makuuhuoneessa on queen ja kolmas makuuhuone on kaksi erillistä vuodetta.

Pois keittiö on pieni takaisin kannelle kaasugrilli. Kannella unohdetaan kauniisti suuri maisemoitu piha, ja viehättävä rivitalojen patio edellä laastari mustikka pensaat. On palo kuoppaan nauttia illalla jälkeen päivän tutustuen tämän suuren saaren.

Tuleville veneellä voi olla kiinnitys saatavilla satamassa pyynnöstä.

Great first time Maine experience

This was my first time in Maine and it was a great experience. The house was perfect, felt like home. The location was awesome, close enough to the busy Bar Harbor and park entrances but remote enough to relax. Ian was quick to respond to any question I had. Would definitely recommend the sunrise hike up Cadillac Mountain!

Southwest Harbor cottage

SW cottage was very spacious and comfortable. Ian was quick to respond to inquiries. The main entrance to Acadia did take about 25-30 minutes to reach, but there were delays due to road work. Would suggest 2 rolls of toilet Paper rather than 1 for a 4 night stay.

Maine Farm House

Nicely renovated 2-story farmhouse close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Beds are comfortable, although smaller bedrooms lack storage space for clothes. nice spaces inside, including large dining room with a table for 6 and a sunroom. House was clean with lots of windows.

Great Place!

The house was very clean. Kitchen had enough essentials to prepare meals there. The window units kept upstairs cool for sleeping. Great fire pit area!

Very nice

Very nice warm and welcoming house. Very clean! We had everything we needed in every room. The couches and beds are comfortable. There is even a bunch of pamphlets, books and magazines on traveling in the area. I would have preferred that the one bathroom upstairs not be ensuite to the master bedroom. But overall we are very satisfied and would come back

Hiking Maine

We had a wonderful time staying at this wonderfully renovated farmhouse. We had 3 generations staying together and we had no problems with bathrooms or any sleeping quarter issues as mentioned in other reviews. House was well maintained and we truly enjoyed the outside fire pit! Large dining and living rooms were a definite plus. We even had deer visit every morning and you could see the Milky Way from the backyard! Truly magical experience!

Quick Maine getaway

Nothing beats MDI and staying at Ian’s place was wonderful The location is perfect to access all the fun MDI has to offer. Eating out can be a pocket punch so the well appointed kitchen and grill are a plus Can’t wait to go back

Lots of space

Great size house with plenty of room for our family of 4, nice kitchen, dining room, living room, and bedrooms. No A/C, but my husband is from New England, so that was expected. Plenty of fans to cool down. Great to have a king size bed in the master. Very close to some trails and areas of Acadia, but 25 minutes to Bar Harbor. On the 2nd floor, the bathroom is in the master bedroom, which was fine for us with smaller kids, but might be an inconvenient setup for older kids or multigenerational families. There is a full bath on the first floor,

overall very good but...

There are 3 BR, all on the second floor. There are 2 BR, one is ensuite (in the bedroom with a king). The other bathroom is down the stairs, down a hall, through the kitchen, almost out the back door. It is a full bathroom, but still, if you are in the 2nd or 3rd, having to trudge down the stairs to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night is a royal pain. What is even more galling is that an ad/house info that are incredibly detailed in every possible respect would somehow leave out this important fact. I would not stay again.

Southwest Harbor cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We spent 3 days enjoying the area; hiking in Acadia, browsing shops in Bar Harbor and eating lots of Maine lobster-(btw, Beal’s in Southwest Harbor lobster rolls 10/10). The location is nice with a spacious, tranquil yard. A few deer wandered through the yard briefly at dawn and dusk, along with many songbirds. It felt relaxing. The cottage is roomy with lots of seating, beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We would stay again.

Private Quant home away from home

Great place to stay in southwest harbor. About 20 minutes from the busy town of Bar Harbor. Quiet neighborhood. Would recommend staying here and the host Ian was great with communications. Id only recommend more toilet paper (maybe 2 instead of 1) in the bathrooms.

Great place

This was a great place to stay. It's easy to get to and the location is awesome! The home was clean and the beds were comfy. There's a nice yard with a fire pit. The kitchen had all we needed for cooking dinners and prepping lunches for hikes. There is a small grocery store nearby(it closes early) and a few gas station/convenient stores close-by as well. I think our favorite thing was the public beach access we found about a mile down the seawall road. It's rocky, so bring some sneakers. But it's a wonderful spot to just sit and watch the sunrise in the morning, or just look at the mountains on the other side of the water. Very quiet and peaceful. We would not hesitate to book here again.

Few Days near Bar Harbor

Rented this property for 3 days for the second part of our trip in Maine. It was perfect for our family of four. Wanted the convenience of staying in a home with all the amenities a house has to offer. Downtown Bar Harbor is about 17 miles away. The property is located in Southwest Harbor. Even though we didn’t get time to explore the town of Southwest Harbor we always enjoy our time in Maine! Can’t wait to revisit Maine again!

Amazing location and very comfortable house. The only things that were odd were only full bath on 2nd floor (where all bedrooms located) is in master & very difficult to find the house from the street - it would be helpful to have a more clearly marked house number since privacy shrubs block the entire house

Convenient location

We enjoyed the quieter side. The hikes, the restaurants, the scenery. Bass Harbor lighthouse is very close and is that iconic Maine postcard. Deer in the yard every morning. Easy to get around the area and not bad getting to core Acadia or Bar harbor. Thanks!

Pleasant stay

Very clean place. The home was simple, but had all the things needed for a comfortable stay. I appreciated the nice stove, sharp knives, and comfortable dining room table. The fire pit in the backyard was a really peaceful spot as well.
