Located in Alleghany County, 10 minutes south of Sparta, this private vacation home welcomes both you and your family dog to the High Country experience.

Green Mountain Getaway is a log home with high wooden ceilings and warm heart-of-pine flooring. It is perched at the top of a wooded hill, with mountain peaks in the distance. On the main level, the kitchen and great room share a large open space, with a separate dining room, seating six. The great room offers plenty of comfy seating and a large flatscreen TV over the electric fireplace. Lots of ambiance – no hassle! The kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances, is equipped with all the cooking and dishware you need for casual meals at home, as well as a toaster oven, coffee maker and microwave.

On this main level you'll also find two bedrooms with queen beds, and two full bathrooms with shower and tub combos. Both of these bedrooms offer a TV, so all the guests can enjoy private relaxation time. From both bedrooms you can step directly out to the magnificent deck, for the outdoor time that you crave in the mountains. Soak in the view and revel in the cool mountain breezes!

The home also features a second level downstairs, perfect for kids, or additional guests. There's a private bedroom with a TV and full bath, as well as entertainment space for the kids, with a mini pool table, a dartboard, and another TV. From this level you can access the lower-level deck and enjoy the woodsy surroundings. Pull-out beds both downstairs and in the great room accommodate extra guests for sleeping.

Set on over an acre of grass and woods, this home is perfect for both indoor and outdoor living. You'll love relaxing and entertaining on the deck, where you'll find a grill for outdoor cooking. The home is 10 minutes from the small town of Sparta, which features shops, restaurants, live music and friendly people. Check out the popular Becca's Backwoods Coffee, the Main Street Pizzeria, Italian-American fusion food at Crave, and the Muddy Creek Café and Music Hall.
