”We arrived 2 hours early so we decided to go in and see if maybe we could check in. Walked inside and stood at the counter where you check in and a man was sitting there and for over 5 minutes NEVER acknowledged us. A lady who was vacuuming the floor in the lobby finally asked if she could help us. I told her we had reservations and she said that it would be 4 PM before we could check in because nothing was ready. While standing there waiting to be acknowledged, I heard the cleaning staff report...

”What can I say? Perfect. Not a singular complaint. The hosts were amazing. The cabin was exceptional, with a private balcony, amazing tub, comfortable bed, high-quality bedding and furnishings. Our cabin had a kitchen with everything we would need. The property was exquisite and the saltwater pool and hottub were highlights. Firepit and grill station were clean and inviting. ”An amazing stay in the beautifully quiet Blue Ridge mountains. Picturesque Lake Lure is only a short stroll away. Chef Richard prepares a wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and this definitely not your basic B&B but all at very reasonable prices. Thank you all. I cant’t wait to return.”

”Firehouse Inn is filled with olde world charm. Hand painted walls, claw foot chairs, Bose audio system for easy listening, TV and a fireplace in large living room. Dining area can seat multiple guests in comfort. The hospitality is amazing! Donna’s cooking skills are mouthwatering and Mary is the go to person to get you settled in. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed, lounge chair with ottoman and spotless bathroom. Shower was large enough for two people 👍! Will definitely visit again.”

”This is incredibly frustrating, my flight was delayed, even though I had paid a deposit on the room, I got in 12 hours later than expected. When I checked in, they told me that they not only charged me, but that they gave my room away. Neither a refund nor solution was given. So not helpful, I called Expedia and they told me it was up to the discretion of the hotel. NOT A VERY GOOD AREA, either. I believe it was the owner who is at the front desk, so word to the wise… STAY AWAY”

”Management and other staff are in need of customer service training and attitude adjustment. They don’t appear to like their work environment much. Check in was the worst I have experienced in a very long time. Room was clean and the breakfast was good. Would not stay there again.”
