”Newly remodeled hotel in an older building in downtown Frickenhausen. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and everything looks brand new. Comfortable beds and the A/C works great. Friendly and helpful English-speaking staff, excellent breakfast, and nice beer garden. Free parking is a three-minute walk. We've stayed there twice during the summer of 2025. Would I stay there again? Yes!”

”While booking a place for a night close to the highway, I failed to notice there’s no reception. You’re supposed to send an ID copy in advance and get a key code. I noticed this only at the door and had to look for a number to call. The guy was helpful though and just recited the code on the phone. The pros of this place are low price (€55 for a single bed) and location at the gate of a quaint little castle town. While there’s no restaurant, there is a decent pizzeria on the shore less than 1km...

”Vorab: Wenn es hier was zu bemängeln gibt dann ist das nur jammern auf allerhöchstem Niveau. Ich wurde freundlich empfangen, hatte die Juniorsuite und ein schönes Wohnzimmer mit einer bequemen Couch. Der Fernseher war allerdings soooooo winzig klein und war so angebracht, dass ich davon ausgehe, dass es eine Art Notlösung war weil der richtige ausgefallen war. Aber mal Hand aufs Herz - wer kommt hier zum Fernsehen her? Vielen Dank - ich komme gerne wieder :-) ”
