Booking Dates 2025: May 1 - June 7 = 3 night minimum. June 8 - August 31 = 6 night stay with Sunday check in and Saturday checkout. September 1 - October 31 3 night minimum.

Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully furnished 5 bedroom/2 full bathroom home. The space is comfortable for sleeping up to 10 people. There is a full kitchen with two full sized refrigerators. The home is located on a beautiful, flat, wooded lot with a small sand beach. Our pontoon boat is available to rent. We rent it by the week only for a fee $1,134. We supply your first tank of gas. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off in after a day on the lake. There is a fish cleaning station with running hot and cold water. Wolf Point Bar and Grill is also on the lake. The property is located equally between Hayward and Spooner (about 12miles each way). The location is also great for ATV's. Trails are accessible from the cabin.

Property was exactly as described. Super cute decor. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming, boating and campfires daily. Disconnecting from technology and reconnecting as a family is just what we needed. Mother Nature was kind to us with the weather being perfect. We saw a family of Deer crossing through the yard daily. Mama and her 2 beautiful fawns as well as a buck. We enjoyed a meal at the Wolf Point Bar and Grill. The grandkids thought it was fun taking the pontoon to the restaurant. It was lovely seeing the smiles on my family’s faces every day watching them having fun and relaxing. This grandma’s heart is full. Definitely 5 stars…we highly recommend. The grandkids are already asking when we can do this again!! Thank you John & Renee for a very lovely vacation.

Family fun !

This place was perfect, grandkids loved all the outdoor toys they were in the water all day ! Pontoon rental was great easy ..House was clean and kitchen was fully stocked . Communication was very prompt.. I highly recommend this place ..

Weekend Getaway!

We had such a great stay. The property is beautiful, with a big flat yard leading out to the water. We enjoyed the pontoon daily, our kids caught bass and sunnies from the dock. Everything was very clean and comfortable, the owners were accommodating and welcoming. Our family has a spot on the lake, so we’ve been coming up for years. It’s such a fun lake/area and this rental made it extra enjoyable. Hope to stay again soon!

Best Stay in the Northwoods!

This is our third summer renting in the Northwoods. This Gull Lake gem was our best find yet! Clean home, wonderful hosts who were easy to communicate with, beautiful property and lake! The home is stocked with all the things you need from home (a crockpot - genius). We LOVED our time on Gull Lake and this wonderful home deserves 5+ stars!

Gull Lake

We were very pleased with this property! Plenty of room and very clean. We enjoyed the large yard and beach area. We rented the pontoon which was so much fun! John and Renee were great hosts! We would definitely rent this place again!

Great home away from home!

Renee and John's property was a great spot to stay! They were gracious, accommodating hosts. There were many thoughtful touches throughout the property. The yard and beach were one of the best we've stayed at. The outdoor shower and garage sink were super helpful. In addition, the dock and beach area were fantastic, equipped with paddleboards and kayaks. The lake was super quiet. Many days we'd see 1-2 other boats on the lake, but we pretty much had the lake to ourselves to fish and tube. Our son caught a 35-in northern, so there's some great fish there for the catching. The house was super clean! In the north woods, you expect spiders and other bugs, but we didn't have that at all. The kitchen was well equipped and there were several comfy spaces for groups (the deck, the two living areas, the below porch space, the firepit). The location was 10-15 min from Hayward, so we had many lake days and a few days were we could bum around the town doing all the touristy shops - including the bait shop! We highly recommend this place!

Fabulous Family Vacation

This was our 2nd year staying at this cabin. The 5 bedrooms are such a good setup for our big family. The beach was a hit for our grandson. It was nice to have a pontoon to use. Our kids enjoyed the lily pad. We are renting again next summer because we love it so much!

Wonderful Stay!

We had an absolutely amazing time at John and Renee’s place. Our 3 year old loved the sandy beach and played with his trucks in it for hours. Everything was so clean! We had bonfires and every meal on the deck and took the pontoon out multiple times every day. The lake was beautiful and so quiet. Perfect family getaway!

Family get together at Gull Lake

We had a great time fishing, swimming, reconnecting and relaxing. We also hit the microbrewery, fishing hall of fame, and lumberjack show in Hayward! Both the property and pontoon fit all our needs. Renee and John are great hosts.

We stayed at a beautiful cabin on Gull Lake

The cabin was very clean and well kept up. The two level living space was wonderful for a family of six and an infant. We loved the huge flat large for playing yard games. Gull lake was great for fishing. We made a lot of wonderful family memories on our vacation. We will definitely be back next year.

Perfect Up North getaway

Just like last year, the cabin was very clean and inviting. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We rented the Pontoon for a week which is a must, and my children loved playing in the sand by the water. The cabin was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed, laundry was a bonus! I would recommend anybody with young children to stay here, perfect spot!

Beautiful property

This cabin was exactly as described. Beautifully tucked away, but yet only 15 minutes from town/Hayward. We had more than enough space for the 5 of us to spread out and relax indoors, however we spent the mass of our time outdoors - soaking in the sun on the deck patio set, endulging in smores around the fire pit, and fishing out on the boat. We had a chance to meet some local lake regulars while out boating and while enjoying the frybread tacos at the bar across the lake Thursday night. I must say the people and the beauty of this property made it even better than that we had hoped for. John & Renee were incredible hosts and we would in a heartbeat rent from them again. Amazing family memories were made here over the past week. Thank you for an awesome time!

Great cabin!

Five adults and three children stayed so comfortably at this great cabin. It was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the two fridges came in so handy. We thoroughly enjoyed the pontoon. We did a lot of fishing and took the pontoon to the restaurant/bar across the lake one night for dinner! We made a lot of good memories here. Thank you!

Great Vacation Spot!

This was a great place for a family vacation! The house was clean and comfortable and the beach area was perfect for younger kids who like to play in the sand. The outdoor shower was a big hit with the kids and very convenient to keep from tracking sand throughout the house. John and Renee were great to rent from and very kind and helpful. Great Vacation spot to relax!

This property was as described in the VRBO listing which is rare. Everything was top notch. Cabin was 100% clean, even the yard and beach were picked up, mowed, and racked. We will definitely be returning. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions. Awesome fireplace all set up for cooking was a plus also.

Perfect for families

We had a great time during our stay. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The owner was also very responsive. Renting the pontoon for the week was a must and the beachside area was perfect for my almost 2 year old to build sand castles and wade in the water. The lake was nice and quiet, and you can even catch fish off the dock. The best part was the privacy, we rarely ever heard our neighbors.

Highly recommend

John and Renee were a wonderful host and hostess. They seemed to think of everything to make our stay enjoyable. My family loved the lake and the pontoon boat, the little beach and the kayaks. We used the fire pit for cooking burgers and making smores. And the outdoor shower was so convenient for rinsing off after a swim. My grandchildren loved catching bluegills off of the dock. There were two tv's and games when we needed some "down time". So close to Hayward to run in to pick up anything we forgot. Plenty of room for food and drinks with the upstairs and downstairs refrigerator. We had a delightful time. I would highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing family vacation.

Gull lake vacation

This was a perfect place for a family vacation. There was a small sand beach for the grandkids, with large area of shallow for them to swim. The pontoon rental made it easy for us all to enjoy rides around the lake and fishing for all ages. Everyday we had wildlife (deer, bear, chipmunks, squirrel, eagle, etc in the yard. The lake is less commercial and was a great place to water ski and tube, besides fishing and swimming. The host were available at all times. We would definitley go again!

Perfect lake vacation

We rented the lake house for a family vacation with my sons and daughters in law. Renee and John are perfect hosts. The house was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and welcoming. They were easy to get a hold of with questions, and even messaged us to see if we were all set after checking in. The couches, both upstairs and down were amazing. Big, comfortable and very nice quality. The kitchen had everything imaginable to allow us to cook as if we were home. We rented the pontoon for the week and loved every minute on it. The water on the lake was crystal clear, and we met some great neighborhood folks at the bar across the lake from the cabin. Five stars all the way for this vacation property.

Great Family Stay
