”Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view to the mountains and the sunrise was amazing. The hotel is located on the small road so the bigger cars are not able to drive there. However the tuktuk is easy way to get in there. The place is really quiet and the railway is going nearby. There you have an easy access to Ella rock and to the town. It took around 15min to walk to Ella town. There is not many places to eat in the evening near by but in the town there are many restaurants. In the dark I got the...

Vain muutamia huoneita, joten tunnelma on intiimi ja kattoterassilla/altaalla ei koskaan ruuhkaa. Söimme aamiaisen lisäksi useamman kerran hotellin ravintolassa ja pidimme kovasti. Ainoa miinusmerkkinen asia liittyy syrjäiseen sijaintiin. Iltaisin olisi ollut kiva käydä vielä kävelyllä, mutta pimeällä hotellilta oli vaikea liikkua jalkaisin mihinkään. Aina...

”Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren angenehm groß und sehr sauber – ein Pluspunkt für den Komfort. Der Gastgeber war aufmerksam, auch wenn die Kommunikation nicht immer ganz unkompliziert war. In der Umgebung gibt es mehrere Restaurants, sodass man gut essen gehen kann.”

Even though our relocation he took care of us; organized safari with good driver/guide, gave us several lifts to the village center, as well as restaurant recommendations. ”Excellent location (right inside Galle Fort) and value for money. The owners were really welcoming, nice and helpful. B&B located in a smaller street of the Fort, thus providing calm. Room with a large bed, A/C, mosquito net and small balcony. We definitely recommend it! We got our breakfast in another hostel managed by the owners.”

”Le personnel est difficile à appeler car il ne sont pas disponibles même s'ils sont là et ils ne parlent pas anglais, pas de conversation possible. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis accueillis. Entre les avions, les coqs qui chantent et les chiens c'est bruyant. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas normal trop sec il y a seulement 2 tranches de pain de mie avec un œuf et 2 petites bananes. Même avec la tasse de thé c'est dur à avalé. Il faudrait un jus de fruits frais au minimum. Aussi l'endroit est...

”I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Shanelo. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. It was a bit different everyday. They have a very helpful booklet in the room that had great tips where to eat or go sightseeing. Thank you so much for a pleasent stay!”

”The hotel is very new and our bungalow was absolutely beautiful. The area around the hotel is also stunning. It is located by a river, and while relaxing at their beautiful pool area we saw lots of different animals. The area is quiet and little bit further away from the beach, but it takes only 5 minutes by tuk tuk to get there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. I can definetely recommend this hotel.”

”The homestay double booked my booking so I turned up and they had nowhere for me to stay. At 5pm I then had to try and find a room in Ella for the night, in peak season. Ended up staying in a dirty hotel as that was the only option left after 3 hours of searching, and got severely ill from the food there. My whole holiday was completely ruined thanks to Dimuthu homestay. Unbelievably unprofessional. DO NOT book here, it is not worth the risk.”

"Ketjun hotelli parhaasta päästä. Upeat maisemat, kauniit huoneet ja erinomainen palvelu. Aamiainen, oikeammin brunssi, oli todella runsas. Kävelymatkan päässä iso ostoskeskus, rantabulevardi, ShangriLan ravintolat jne. Allasalue ei aivan yllä muun hotellin tasoon, mutta sekin oli kuitenkin ok ja tilaa oli. Kaikenkaikkiaan erinomainen hinta-laatusuhde."

"I had three nights in superior room with partial sea view, and it was really spacious and had a nice balcony. Room itself was 10/10. Rooftop pool and bar is nice, but during evening it might be very full. Only minus for housekeeping, which wasn't easy to have. Finally in the evening 7pm I got someone knocking my door if I needed something and finally they took my dishes from room breakfast. Service at reception was great, and I was welcomed to spend there time after check out before midnight flight."
