”With basic amenities of tourist destination hotels like a clean room (only cleaned upon request), drinking water(referring to the 2 small bottles of water given in the room), fresh towels ( again upon request only), clean swimming pool (gathering ground for mosquitoes), 24/7 electricity missing for this hotel and the fact that it is located far from tourist attractions, I highly recommend not to choose this hotel. The only saving grace for this hotel is the good food.”

”It's closer to Galle Fort. The staff are nice & helpful. But, all other facilities are basic and no hot water shower system and bath room is not clean. Old packets of tea / Coffee & sugar in the room. So, I couldn't make a cup of tea. ”

”Firstly I have to say that I am totally unaccustomed to leaving negative reviews, but sadly I have to say "don't go" to this, no doubt once very classy, little boutique hotel. Before going any further it is worth mentioning that the staff (we only saw 3!) were lovely, extremely well meaning, and obliging. (We're guessing/deducing, severely let down by an absentee owner). Apart from the staff, the only other attribute was the superb position, overlooking and directly onto the river estuary....

There was another room though, less big, less comfy, incorporated into the owners' house that could be occupied. My first intention was to cancel the booking, but then I gave another thought to the situation, kept it as it was, accepted the small room for one night in order to spare all the hassle of finding yet another guesthouse.
