Enjoy this homes craftsmanship with original features and upgrades galore. The unique stay will give you a true experience on Route 66 in St. James, MO. Its charm and character are unmatched in area home’s. 2 bedrooms with 2 king sized beds and 2 separate bathrooms. It gives a spacious feel with open living, kitchen, and dining. Take advantage of this centrally-located home to wineries and dining in the area. Only 8 miles from Rolla, MOS&T, and PHELPS Health.

This spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home has an open living space and room for everyone. The kitchen opens up to a formal dining room, office space and living room.

The quaint sun room off the front is for sipping morning coffee or curling up and reading a book. The original hardwood floors flow throughout the entire home. So many details are left from the original build that give the home character and warmth, while modern amenities make the spaces functional. An electronic keypad to unlock the door, remote control fans, bluetooth speakers, magnetic phone chargers and a smart thermostat. The hall bath is large and hosts a stackable washer and dryer. The first bedroom has a king size bed and armoire for clothing storage.

The primary bedroom has an ensuite with a king size bed and private deck. The large bathroom has dual vanity, walk in shower and a closet.

Easy access to the side door when parking, concrete walk way to the left with one step to access the door. The property has a fenced in yard for extra privacy. And covered side patio with chairs off the kitchen.

We are walking distance from downtown shops, bakery, coffee shop, and pubs. Easy access to I-44 and Rolla.

This home would be perfect for a longer term renter who is working in the area. Note for the fire-pit and Blackstone grill wood and gas are not provided.

We had a very nice stay overall. The property was clean and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, plenty of towels, and a spacious bathroom with a great hot shower. Parking was easy, and the wraparound seating area worked well for our needs, though the couch was a bit deeper than my personal preference.The location was convenient—close to the main strip—though we didn’t spend much time there. The neighborhood itself was quiet, which we really appreciated.There were a couple of minor challenges—figuring out the lock in the dark took a bit of trial and error, and we never quite got the thermostat to a comfortable setting. The floors are also somewhat uneven, which may be worth noting for guests with mobility concerns. Overall, these were small issues in an otherwise enjoyable stay, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

We had such a great stay at this home! It was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We loved all the character of the house, especially the wood floors and cozy feel, but it still had everything we needed to feel right at home.The layout worked really well for us, and there was plenty of space to relax. Everything felt well taken care of, and you can tell the owners put thought into making it a nice place to stay.The location was perfect—close to downtown and convenient to everything, but still quiet and peaceful. It made it easy to explore and then come back and unwind.Check-in and check-out were super easy, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable stay and we would definitely come back again!

As a speaker, my wife travels throughout the West, and often the dog and I accompany her. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest properties we've ever stayed at. We were here for family. Coming back to the 1910 house was like coming home. People describe it as cozy, and it certainly is, but it is the homey feel you get when you're there that sold us. The spacious kitchen and dining, the comfy sectional in the living room, beds that you hate leaving in the morning -- and that shower. Man, if I could rip that out and take it home, I would! Plus, the dog loved the big backyard. We will definitely stay again!

This house was honestly perfect! I've stayed at plenty of properties where you couldn't even use the closets because they are full of stuff or the kitchen cupboards are so gross, you don't want to use the dishes. The 1910 home was so clean, so beautifully decorated - it was honestly lovely!

My sister and I stayed at this property July 24th through 27th 2025. I was so impressed with the furnishings in the home, even the kitchen utensils and cookware. We loved the sunroom and all the open space in the home. My sister and I hosted a celebration for my nephew who graduated from Rolla Police department. Everyone raved about the home and loved all the space to spread out. The host was very responsive anytime I sent an email. The only downside that I found was there was no full length mirror in the home, and also the small step down into the master could be a little bit dangerous if you forget that it's there. I stomped my toe walking out of the bedroom one morning when I had just woke up. Other than that everything was great and I would definitely say again in the future.

Poor neighborhood, bar on door 2 doors from property, gravel driveway, house has smell, either old furniture, or something else, nice appliances, bathrooms, and bedrooms, rest of home has many trip areas so be extra careful, booked for 3 nights, checked out after 1,night, didn’t bring a fire arm for protection,

Beautiful solid historic home that has been up updated and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable with nice king sized beds and a great sectional couch. Even a nice large desk I utilized for catching up on work. The attention to detail was phenomenal. Great lighting, fenced back yard, beautiful hard wood floors with soft rugs and soft fluffy towels…perfect. Our stay was just perfect.

The home is beautiful and the owner has thought of all the needed comforts. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Beds are comfortable, towels are fluffy, and the kitchen Is amazing. You will enjoy your stay here.
