  • Le Petit Bijou on Provencen kaupungissa Saint Rémy-de-Provence Etelä-Ranskassa, ja sen omistaa kirjoittaja Vicki Archer. Talo on innoittanut Vickin kirjojen '' Ranskan elämäni '' ja '' Ranskan Essence '' hengen.

    Le Petit Bijou tehtiin kahden vuoden kunnostustöitä lahjakkaan paikallisen arkkitehdin Hugues Boscin johdolla. Vicki on sisustanut sen useilla paikallisilla brokkaneilla hankkeilla.

    Vicki on luonut jotain, joka toimii niille, jotka haluavat löytää Provencen tyylikkäästi. Le Petit Bijoun tarkoituksena on tarjota erittäin mukava retriitti päivän löytöpäivän jälkeen alueella.

    Le Petit Bijou on ilmastoitu kaksikerroksinen kylätalo, jonka alakerrassa on olohuone ja ruokailutila, jossa on yhdistetty keittiö, vieras jauhehuone ja aulahuone. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on makuuhuone ja kahden hengen huone. Kahden hengen huone avautuu terassille, josta on näkymät historiallisen Hôtel de Sade -puutarhaan ja kylän kattoihin. Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on erillinen WC ja kylpyhuone, jossa suihku ja kylpyamme.

    Le Petit Bijou esiintyi elokuun 2014 lehdessä '' 25 kaunista kotia ''.

    Le Petit Bijou on aivan Saint Rémy-de-Provencen keskustassa historiallisella alueella, lähellä Alpillen museota ja Hôtel de Sadetta. Se on rauhallisella kadulla rue Carnot -kadun vieressä ravintoloiden, leivonnaisten ja puristimen kanssa. Saint Rémy's keskiviikon markkinat ovat vain muutaman sadan metrin päässä. Vaikuttava Alpilles-vuorijono ja upea Eygalieres-kylä ovat lähellä.

    Saint Rémy-de-Provence on loistava hyppypaikka Avignonille, Aîx-en-Provencelle, Arlesille, Maussane-les-Alpillesille, Marseillelle, Nimesille ja Camarguelle. Luberon, Gordes ja Sénanque Abbey laventelikenttineen ovat noin 50 minuutin päässä.

    Alueella on hyvät liikenneyhteydet.
    Junalla: Se on 20 km ja 25 minuutin ajomatkan päässä TGV-pikajuna-asemalta Avignonin ulkopuolella. TGV liikennöi kesäkuukausina suoraan Lontoon Avignoniin ja ympäri vuoden Pariisista.
    Lentäen: Se on 75 km ja noin 55 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Marseille Provencen lentokentältä. British Airways, EasyJet ja Ryanair toimittavat päivittäin lentoja Marseilleen Lontoosta ja Pariisista Air Francelle. XL Airways tarjoaa New York – Marseille -palvelun. Pienempää Avignon-lentokenttää (20 km ja 20 minuuttia) palvelee Flybe Southamptonista.
    Vuokra-autoja on saatavana Avignon TGV -rautatieasemalta, Avignonin lentokentältä ja Marseille Provencen lentokentältä.

Parking a five minute walk away and cost 2 euros an hour (first 1.5 hours free, free from 7pm to 9am). Free car parks a 10 minute walk away. Largest car park only free out of season. Apart from parking issue, accommodation was excellent. Air conditioning in all rooms and very good. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Facilities comprehensive and very good. Internet reception did drop quite a few times.Can park outside house to unload and load only.Tom and Joh deli excellent (same road as supermarket), they make your sandwiches on the spot. St Remy market well worth going round.

This lovely and perfectly located village house was everything we hoped for and more. The amenities were 5 Star and included luxurious terry cloth robes and bath products, a welcome bottle of Rose and much more. Everything was considered and we did not want for a thing. Patricia welcomed us and was delightful throughout our stay. She was available for whatever we needed and I cannot thank her enough for her hospitality. The village house was spotless, beautifully decorated and equipped with all modern appliances and a lovely full bath. It is located in historic St Remy but on a quiet side street only steps from everything. If someone happened down our street I could not help but notice they would often stop to take a picture of our village house as it doesnt get more charming than this! What a nice place to come home to after a fun day at the market or exploring Provence. We did not want to leave. Merci Beaucoup!!

This home was beautiful! Everything about it was perfect. The location, the home itself was very comfortable and wonderfully appointed and Patricia, the house manager, was so easy to work with and helpful! I can’t wait to stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay and would stay again for sure. We also are grateful to have chosen St. Remy instead of the other, larger towns that were not at all as charming as we were led to believe. St. Remy IS charming!

Another excellent return stay!

Love the location and the town of St. Remy. Enjoy being able to walk for warm croissants each morning right around the corner from the house. Then finding dining options in walking distance in St. Remy easy, with many delicious meal choices. Will return for certain.

Beautiful and Comfortable

Our stay in St. Remy was perfect. The house is beautiful and in an ideal central location. All the amenities were provided, and the property manager was exceptional. She was very helpful and always available. We look forward to returning in the future!

Excellent 4 night home base, real homey, good parking, Wednesday market day, good communications, etc. Magical & enchanting. We plan to come back and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

A truly perfect location and a beautifully appointed house with everything you need!

It is right in the heart of Saint Remy de Provence, and you can easily walk to everything. The house is also very quiet, tucked back just behind the square. A peaceful clean oasis but close to restaurants and shops. We visited many of Provence's beautiful villages, and this was a perfect home base. We will be back.

A Little Gem

Wonderful property! Location was perfect. Pleasant and responsive manager! Just what we expected. Small for two couples but great for girls or one couple. Parking was a challenge like every place in St Remy but manageable. We would highly recommend Petit Bijou! You will love it!

Summer holiday in St. Remy-de-Provence

We were three adults (one couple plus a friend), and we were very comfortable during our 10-day stay. Le Petit Bijou is in a perfect location-within the town center, but also extremely quiet and peaceful. It was so lovely and quaint, in fact, that passers-by were constantly taking pictures of the facade! However, there was plenty of room and privacy within the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were luxurious and plentiful. Patricia, the concierge, was attentive, helpful, and friendly.

Once in a Lifetime

We have visited St Remy a number of times, but staying at Le Petite Bijou made it a trip my husband and I will never forget. Every thoughtful choice and accommodation was chosen by the Archers to provide a unique blend of luxury and comfort. In the middle of town, and yet you feel as though you are in the countryside. And House Manager, Patricia, responds to any requests with lightening speed so as not to disrupt any plans you have. Treat yourself.

Ideal…hated to leave

The property was better than expected. But where it was located and finding the property manager…. Who did NOT know we were coming was a nightmare. Owner did not relate to manager. If it weren’t for a restaurant owner who knew the manager and had said previous problems he had noticed… we would NEVER have located the property!!! Thank God we found the wonderful property manager by a phone call via the restaurant owner!!

Great Provence Vacation

We totally enjoyed our time spent in Provence and specifically at Le Petit Bijou. We spent our days sightseeing and returned mid afternoon to enjoy the comfort of the home. We especially enjoyed our evening/afternoon cocktails on the small balcony off the guest bedroom. The TV has every channel you need to watch shows and movies in english. We were not impressed with the internet speed. You could not access the internet upstairs. The parking is not allowed near the home. But it is only a 4 minute walk to a city parking lot with free parking. Restaurants, cafes and most importantly to us, a bakery is very near. We were very pleased with our choice for our Provence vacation. Thank you David, Vicki and Patricia the house manager.

Stunning, idyllic, South of France fairy tale

Pictures don’t do this beautiful home justice! We were excited before we ever got there then completely charmed and blown away when we arrived. Christiane, who met us had everything in perfect order- and though she spoke very little English and we spoke even less French we managed to charade our way through all the instructions and operations. She was a delight and cheerfully available whenever we had questions. The home was perfection from top to bottom and embellished with so many gracious, homey, details; orchids everywhere, books in the cabinet, charming vignettes of objet on the tables, nice fabric hand towels, wonderful bedding, well thought out storage for luggage and clothes. Vicki Archer has infused every inch of this charmer with her spirit and wonderful hospitality. We really felt like guests. The petit little house was a wonderful home base for our exploration of the South of France and St Remy de Provence was one of my favorite little villages-so quaint and quintessential. There are wonderful restaurants around the village, lovely shops, and interesting excursions all within walking distance. We’ve rented many vacation homes- and usually we find very very good ones- but this place stands out as the very best. Robert Johnson-Jones

My wife and I rented this property for 9 nights in early to mid October, 2025. The property was probably the nicest of our 8 locations DURING OUR MONTH LONG STAY IN France. It was DEFINATELY the largest property in terms of living space. First floor had a living room, dining room and kitchen all in an open floor configuration. There was a half bath on the first floor as well as large room that didn’t have a real purpose (too bad actually). There is an over/under washer/dryer off that room which we used frequently. A stairway led up to a landing with one bedroom on the right (with a terrace) and another bedroom to the left (we used that one) a bathroom (literally) with a sink, tub and shower. Another half bath was adjacent. The house was clean, quiet and SO CLOSE to restaurants (lots), cafes, a museum and a small bodega type store. You cannot park at the location but there is ample, free parking about a 10 minute walk. The house is comfortably furnished, beds comfortable, lots of hot water and towels and a large smart TV I. The living room. The kitchen has an induction oven (never figured that out) and stovetop, we mastered that. Microwave, toaster, full kitchen accessories, coffee maker and tea pot. The on site manager, Patricia, is a gem. She had a bottle of wine and some milk on the fridge and we had her help us with the appliances on several occasions. As helpful as she was, her English was on par with my French. Google translate was a lifesaver. a great place to stay

Loved this amazing home in the middle of St Remy old town - 30 second walk to amazing restaurants and air conditioning throughout. Nice outdoor deck overlooks city rooftops. Patricia was wonderful and gave us a thorough welcome. I recommend this amazing place.
