Northside Hideaway Breezes

We really like Jenny and her Northside Hideaway. There are actually three properties close together so you can have multiple families together and still go take showers and sleep separately. Always well appointed and close parking with only four steps up to walkway that connects all three properties. Highly recommend.

Truly a Gem!

Our stay at Northside Hideaway was absolutely wonderful, and Jenny was a delightful host. Her directions to find it were easy to follow, and she was friendly and extremely patient in answering my many questions before and during our stay. The location was ideal for us: easy access to the North (and quiet) Side of the island, but also convenient to get everywhere else. The apartment was comfortable, cool (there was a pleasant breeze at night, but also AC if desired), and had everything we needed. It was also impeccably clean - which is actually very hard to maintain on a tropical island, so I was impressed! The grounds are well-kept, with many native plants and fruit trees. We were lulled to sleep by the song of the coquí frogs, and then awoke to the sun rays over Charlotte Amalie harbor. If we ever return to St. Thomas, this will be the place we stay. Thanks so much, Jenny!

We were in St. Thomas for a combination of business and pleasure. The property was convenient in terms of where we wanted to be. Even before we arrived, we had prompt and clear communication with our host, Jenny. The property was amazingly clean and beautiful! Jenny was a gracious host and saw to our every need. Perfect Little Spot - Bright and Clean

So many great things to say about Jenny's place. There are two other apartments that adjoin but it felt like our own spot. Loved the patio overlooking Charlotte. Place was clean and comfortable and we will return when we visit. Excellent price for an entire place with a kitchen and great shower. We enjoyed the fold out couch and cooked lobster and watched TV after a full day of fun. We loved every bit of our stay here and you will too 🤗

Nice quiet place on top of the mountain with good views of Magens Bay. The hosts were more than helpful for anything you need as they also live next door at the same property. Finding the place was tricky when we drove from airport as google maps was showing slightly different location. Get in touch with the hosts before heading for help with location. Also be ready to drive up the mountain in narrow roads especially if you are driving at night. Must have a car. I will stay here again as the price is reasonable, home is clean and the hosts were very helpful.

Great experience with clean modern property.

Was difficult to find property due to inaccuracy in GoogleMaps not being able to locate the property. It is literally off of four corners. GoogleMaps did a horrible job navigating to property when south mid part of the island. Property itself was great. Jenny and Brian were great hosts. Highly recommend and would come back. I would suggest host to provide longitude and latitude of property instead of actual address since it does not exist on GoogleMaps nor AppleMaps.

Jenny stole $277 from us and then lied about it.

We arrived at the property, only to find that the smell of cleaning products was so strong that we could smell it (and taste it) outside the unit. We entered the unit, opened the windows to try to let it air out, and waited outside for forty minutes. During this time, my wife developed a migraine from the fumes. Eventually, we decided that the smell was not going to subside adequately, and chose to leave. The owner, Jenny, insisted that is was "just a little bit of Fabuloso" and that we should continue waiting. Upon our departure, Jenny, seeing how upset we all were to have travelled so far to find unsuitable accommodation, offered us a full refund. We booked separate accommodation and departed, after having spent 45 minutes on site. Upon contacting Hotels.com / VRBO to finalize the refund, we were told that Jenny now claims that she thought we were going out to dinner and had no idea that we'd left. I have detailed text messages with Jenny (shared with VRBO) that clearly show that she knew we were unhappy with the smell. These text messages made it clear to the VRBO representative that Jenny was lying, but because she carefully avoided mentioned the refund in writing, they refused to take action. The location of the apartment is lovely, and the inside is dated, but acceptable. However, the owner is a liar who cannot be trusted. Avoid at all costs.

Jenny was a terrific host. We had issues upon arrival with our rental. She made herself available to provide taxis directions with each call. I’m addition when we were sorting out issues with our rental car company that was rude to us. She put them in their place. Her place is very nice, clean, and peaceful. The views over the bay is breath taking. I recommend everyone staying hear.

Amazing stay at Jenny's!

We could not have asked for a better stay! Jenny's place had everything we needed, even a boogie board and pool noodles. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and Jenny was very welcoming and responsive. The location is great, close to many good beaches and town. The apartment itself feels tucked away enough to feel private. I felt at home and would absolutely stay again!

Views and chirping birds

Jenni was a great host and had the perfect room for our stay in St. Thomas. The views in the morning and night were amazing. The room was clean and all amenities were greatly appreciated. The sound of the birds chirping in the morning and the breeze felt like being in our own personal island.
