Looking to visit the Red River Gorge? Then please take a look at one of my duplexes in Stanton! 12 miles to RRG, right next to Kroger. Easy access, no need for 4x4, its right in town!

The space
2 Queen sized beds for 4 guests. Fold out bed for a 5th guest if needed. Please use the private driveway for parking, do not park on the main road as this impedes mail delivery and garbage pickup. Garbage pickup is on Friday.
Guest access
Entire duplex left side with one shared wall in middle of building. Private front and back decks. Shared front and back yard.
Other things to note
Private driveway off the street, can fit up to 3 vehicles. You are 1 mile from Kroger and various fast food spots. You will also be about 1 mile from the start of The Red River Gorge Scenic Byway which starts in Stanton, Kentucky, heading west on KY-11. A quick 12 mile drive and you are in the heart of the Red River Gorge and everything it has to offer.

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

The property was nice and clean and also pretty close to daniel boone national forest for all the hiking you can do. Area was pretty quiet when at the duplex and there were a few restaurants and stores close by in case you need anything. We were easily able to contact the host for any questions and got quick responses.

Perfect spot to visit the Red River Gorge. Only 15 min drive to the main trails. 15 mins away from The Gorge Underground. Grocery store less than 5 mins away. Very convenient to grab the food we needed. The place itself was very clean and practical. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was clean, neat, and well stocked as far as towels, pots, pans and cooking utensils, toilet paper and even shampoo/conditioner and soap. Outdoors was well lit at night. No complaints at all.

It was good. I have a couple of suggestions. Put some grab bars in the shower. Fix the front steps. I tripped up them and fell, but I didn’t get hurt. They are bad.

Clean,comfortable

Very clean. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood, Krogers a block away. Small living area, but we didn’t visit to watch tv on the couch. Half an hour or so to Natural Bridge, a bit more to Sky Bridge. Local restaurant has great burgers. Host worked with vrbo for me and let me book an extra night. Jim was very helpful. I would book this trip again.

Visiting red river gorge

There wasn’t a whole lot to do right in town, you would have to drive a bit to go anywhere. We did stay to visit the red river gorge area and it was convenient to that area (about a 20 minute drive).

Great getaway!

Loved all the amenities of this place. Everything was very clean, had everything you needed, bed was comfy, nice front & back porch to relax on. Just a couple mins to the grocery store & other local conveniences. A quick 10 min drive to the natrual bridge & Miguel's. Would definitely stay here again.

It was very nice! Comfortable beds, quiet, everything you need and extras in cupboards, refrigerator had sauces, ketchup, mustard, peanut butter and more. Very clean and friendly owner. We have no complaints. A pulse on everything! Hope to stay here again.

Nice little house

We were in Stanton to go the RRG and this house was very convenient to the gorge as well as restaurants, stores, etc. It has recently been remodeled and it was very clean. I would recommend it to anyone coming to this area. Nice bathroom with washer & dryer right there, comfy bed, relaxing living room.
