Welcome to your perfect Steamboat Springs getaway! This beautiful 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo at The Rockies offers the ideal home base for couples or small families looking to explore the mountains in style and comfort. Just a 5-minute walk (400 yards) to the base of the ski area and Gondola Square, this thoughtfully updated condo blends modern convenience with unbeatable access and stunning views.

We had a great stay in this cozy condo! Check-in was easy. Awesome location convenient to the gondola, and a short drive from downtown. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. Loved having the balcony to look out at the mountain while drinking coffee in the morning. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub but wish we did after a long day of skiing!

Overall this place had what we needed for a vacation - kitchen was well appointed for making meals, the Retreatia customer service was fantastic when we needed them, and the location was great. It is pretty dated inside - something that doesn't show well in the photos. The carpet is pretty stained, including in the bathroom, though I'm sure not everyone tries to take care of the place when they stay, the towels are rough like cheap motel towels, the mattress has some real dips in it that made it harder to be comfortable, and the family photos hanging on the walls was sweet but a little bit odd as a renting guest. It was just me and my son so we were comfortable enough this trip. Tips for others - bring a sleeping mask to cover your eyes. The window in the bedroom has to be open to stay cool while you sleep (non winter seasons), but the lights from the buildings up the hill will blind you as you try to sleep. Also, this unit faces the parking lot and early risers can make it noisy if you're still sleeping. You'll hear footsteps from the unit above so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Overall this place was fine, but I had different expectations from the photos.

Had a great time, convenient location too. Pretty easy to get up to downtown by car, and walking distance to the gondola and things at the resort wasn't bad.Place was very clean; it did get pretty hot, but cools off pretty well at night.

Had to call property manager four times because hot water kept going out it was taken care of each time but delayed our shower or washing face at night. Needed code to hot tub person didn't know the answer to my question. I had to call back because couldn't use it. I asked to speak to a manager and before I finished my second flight home I had a credit for all of my the condo was nice the area was great used to live there nearby

Steamboat condo

The condo is spacious, bright, and generally comfortable. It's next to the Purple Line stop which drops off at the gondola. Our only complaint is the bed, which is very soft and deformed making sleeping difficult.

Cozy and comfortable

The condo was a perfect place to stay for a ski week. It had pretty much everything we needed to make meals (a teakettle would have been a plus). Easy access to the mountain. Shuttle service seemed pretty good although we didn't use it often, and when we did, we had much more luck with the public system.

Quite a few stairs. Hard to navigate with large suitcase at 75 years old. Otherwise is good. Carpet needs cleaning. Toaster is a possible fire hazard. I left unplugged after use.

The location was excellent. The condo was on the second floor of a building which seemed to have a majority of short term rentals. The condo was well supplied with cooking utensils and the kitchen was extremely clean. Parking was great. The pool and hot tub were also nice. The property does need an update on the towels, pillows, and mattresses. They are worn out. Overall we would definitely stay at this property again.

Loved this place, clean, cozy, good location. The only thing I would change is check out time, 10am is quite stressful, especially knowing that the house keeping is at the door at 10am sharp. 11am would be more convenient.

Great Location

Great location- we walked to/from the gondola each day. Comfortable apartment - not fancy & some quirks (eg tons of knives & spoons but few forks; only a couch, no arm chairs; OK bed ). Be aware- this is a managed apt via Retreatia. There are pros/cons to this. Pro is it’s someone to easily call if there’s an issue. Con is you have to go to a separate location to pick up & drop off keys/check-in packet . We had not realized this and it became a real pain since we didn’t rent a car. Also, the ski locker did not have a key and while they said they’d contact the owner we never heard back so couldn’t use the locker.
