”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...

”The owner was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived. Simple process and I stayed 2 nights. The room was very clean and spacious and good for what I was looking for. The simple continental breakfast I ordered was great and very reasonable. The bed was clean and comfortable with enough pillows and good bed linen. The bathroom was very tired and in need of renovation at some stage BUT it was very clean and functional so was good enough for my short stay. I appreciated the plunger coffee...
