For lovers, newlyweds, as a special surprise, or just because… a night in the “Schlummerfass” at Wittkielhof is always a wonderful experience.
The expansive parkland with its old trees and the impressively restored buildings of the former Angeliter three-sided farmstead provide the perfect backdrop for a special overnight stay in nature for two in the countryside. Plenty of space for togetherness is a top priority here. This sleeping barrel is a single unit and not part of a complex.
You’re welcome to bring one dog, provided it doesn’t stay in the bed. The price is 8.00 euros per night.

Sleeping barrel:

The rustic Schlummerfass offers up to 2 people a unique overnight experience with simple comfort and the scent of wood.
Inside the barrel, which has a headroom of 1.85 meters, there is a double bed (140 x 200) and a 1-meter-long bench along each wall. The two double mattresses are fitted with a mattress protector and a duvet cover. A duvet with a pillow per person is included. Luggage is easily stowed under the bed. From the window (with a screen) behind the bed, you can enjoy the view of the expansive garden, and from the front door window, you can look out onto the small lake. Lighting, electricity, and heating are provided.
Outside the door, a small patio with a table, chairs, and a bench invites you to linger and relax. A sunshade provides pleasant shade.
An eco-friendly dry toilet with an outdoor sink ensures sustainable sanitary comfort.
Cars and bicycles can be parked right next to the barrel. In Kappeln, 5 km away, there are nice places to have breakfast.
PLEASE NOTE: Swimming in the lake is not permitted. Wi-Fi is available near the house.
