”From our arrival and seeing Bill unloading wood for our stay and showing us around the property, and the things we will need to know to the beautiful rustic interior of the cottage and the view of the lake, with all the wild life, this was absolutely a amazing 9 days for us and our dogs. There was everything you would need in the cottage and the covered patio was a bonus especially when we had a couple days of rain, we could still sit outside. ”If your like me, boats, trains and anything big and mechanical is of interest to me. Here, on this property i got to see the endless effort fron a free ferry crew. Back and forth could watch that for hours. Having local attrcation close by was a bnusbonous”

”We had such an enjoyable time. The quiet, the surrounding greenery and nearness to Picton made this so rewarding. Apologies about the fee for the dog. We thought that was included in the fee but no problem when notified that we had to pay that directly to the owner and not by Vrbo.”

”We had a lovely time at the cottage. The air was great, the drinking water excellent, the stars and the moon were enchanting, as were sunrise and the sunset. We patronized the local businesses and found all the people extremely friendly. Because of our age limitations we were unable to use the canoe, kayak or pedal boat. We were disappointed that we found the lake not good for swimming even at Centennial Park. Right in the middle of our stay there was a cold spell with the temperature going...

”Our family greatly enjoyed our week staying in Watercombe. The waterfront is stunning and we frequently took out the kayaks to explore the bay. All amenities worked very well for us. One note for anyone staying longer (we stayed for a full week) would be that trash and recycling have to be driven out to the main road on collection day and there is not an outdoor bin to store a trash should you generate more than one bag.”

”Host could not have been more responsive and we found the location excellent. However the place was not cleaned very well, with garbage still under the sink and floors unswept. We were four older fisherman who were happy enough but our wives would not have been. We tried to clean on our departure but woke to a power failure in the area. All in all , as advertised. The host was responsive, but he should get a new cleaning team.”

”We spend 3 nights at Gabriel's cottage. We had a good Time . Positive aspects; Beauty of the site, the the outside space; patio, SPA, dock, ... However there is a very steep trail to reach the dock. There is one peddle and ONE kayak .. (I wish we had 2). The fridge and the shower were dirty when we got there. The rest was ok and the bedding were clean et smelled good. No board Games and very few toys as it says. But all in all a great place and a Nice stay test was oktest es ok.”

”Our family (2 daughters, 3 grandsons 8-23) had a super week on Varty Lake. The Cottage is very comfortable and the two rooms were good for young & older. Kitchen well equipped. Lots of supplies, towels etc. Having the canoe, kayak, paddleboat, two paddle boards was amazing and all were used and enjoyed. Biking along the roads & Cataraqui trail was great. Swimming was good. Games room was enjoyed by the younger boys/young men. Mo was excellent in communicating with us, before and during our stay....
