”The Woods Edge was the perfect getaway my brother and I were looking for. My dad is turning 84 and we wanted to give him a relaxing weekend in the high country. This place is accessible to everywhere…Boone and it’s great selection of restaurants, Banner Elk/Linville and it’s great waterfalls and hikes, Vilas and it’s perfect setting for eating ice cream at Mast by the stream. Super clean and comfortable. A big thank you to Cynthia and Olen for a great weekend!”

”Had a great stay at this very adorable cabin! It’s clean and so well decorated! Had such a quiet and peaceful stay! Only problem we had was the driveway. They had rock recently put down and my car couldn’t get up the driveway. Other than that it was an awesome cabin and we will definitely stay again!”

”I will start with my only negative on this home. The driveway is very small. We had our Ram truck and it fit under the covered parking area. But a bigger vehicle might not fit. That's it. Everything else was so good. The house had multiple reminder notes around it. Which I find very helpful. The kids and I loved every well placed detail. The toy closet was a huge hit. We're hoping to book this home again in the future. ”

”The cabin was as described, was clean and well-equipped. Only negative, and it was not the fault of the property, was that there was a lot of work being done on the river which caused it to be quite silted while we were there. We made the best of it though and enjoyed the visit. ”

” The location on top of the mountain provided spectacular views and cool mornings even in July. I would suggest putting a medium sized skillet in the house to use with the convection hot plate. The fridge may need checking also. It took most of three days to cool down. Overall this is a great rental which I think was an outstanding value. I would definately stay here again.”

”Even though the weather wasn’t great, the cabin was clean and cozy. Screened in porch was so nice to just sit, read and enjoy the rain. We were hoping to get to use the fire pit outside but winds prevented that. Will keep this on our list of places to stay in the future.”

”Cabin is everything you want in a mountain cabin; beautiful setting in quiet surroundings, fire pit area and just-right outside lighting. Inside the cabin is surprisingly spacious, and the kitchen is better equipped than my kitchen at home! I would absolutley recommend anyone stay here; just be sure your car can handle 10 degree incline gravel roads!”

Decorated in a welcoming mountain style with lots of bear accents, it had everything we needed. My husband and I had a relaxing visit and plan to return.
