Nestled on the shores of Taunton Bay, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath home offers a peaceful coastal retreat conveniently located between Acadia National Park's Bar Harbor and Schoodic Point. Just a 40-minute drive to Bar Harbor, it’s the perfect home base for exploring the best of Maine’s coast.

Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and a spacious living area featuring unique wildlife taxidermy, including deer and a moose—bringing a touch of Maine’s rugged charm indoors.

Step outside to relax on the deck and take in sweeping waterfront views and stunning sunsets over the bay. The large yard offers direct access to the rocky shoreline, ideal for swimming, beachcombing, or simply soaking in the natural beauty.

We could not have asked for a better experience! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, well appointed, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could have needed. The location was ideal: close enough to enjoy Acadia (including Schoodic) and many harbors, yet peaceful and private when we wanted to relax. We especially loved the view from the porch and seeing the Milky Way at night. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.Communication was quick, clear, and friendly. The thoughtful touches and attention to detail made a big difference and showed how much care is put into this property. In fact, you can tell how much the property is care for, and it makes you want to do your part to keep it in such great shape. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this Vrbo to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a truly memorable stay. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience—we can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time at this property! From the moment we arrived everything was exactly as described-clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect: peaceful and private, yet close to local attractions, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor.The rental truly fely like a home away from home. we especially loved relaxing on the deck in the evenings. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free, comfortable, memorable getaway in Maine.

This is a perfect house for the Bar Harbor - Acadia area. I've never stayed in such a peaceful environment. The home was spotless and the host was extremely prompt with any questions we had. Sitting on the deck overlooking the water after a day of running around and doing the sightseeing stuff was stunning. I can't say enough about the property, it was of the best vacation homes we've had. Grill on the back porch came in handy too.I wish I could say more but if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book this place. I know if I'm ever back in Maine I sure will. Thanks Beth!!! This is a dream vacation home if you love the ocean and want to come back for a quiet relaxing evening before heading back to Acadia each morning. We saw deer grazing every morning and enjoyed some great meals in town following Beth's guide. I loved having my morning coffee watching the lobster boat head out as I sat on the rocks by the water.

Perfect Acadia home base

This house was amazing with location right on the bay with staircase direct access, the kids loved exploring the area during low tide. Very easy drive into Acadia/Bar Harbor but with privacy for the end of the day wind down. Owners were very responsive to any inquiries and helped make this a very memorable vacation.

Fall vacation

The Maine Bay house was wonderful. It was clean and had all the space we needed for our group of 4. There was everything thing that you need for preparing meals in the kitchen. The relaxing views and quietness of the location was just what we were looking for. It is an easy drive to Acadia National Park and BarHarbor for shopping and dining. We would love to stay again.

Great House, Secluded Waterfront Location

Beth, thanks so much for letting us share your little piece of paradise for a few days. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Although the distance to the park is a bit far, it took no time at all and the trip the Schoodic side was very convenient. Quite and peaceful

This was a very comfortable home. Nice and clean. Beautiful view. Beds were comfy and place was very clean. Beth was very easy to communicate with. There is a home next to the property. Never ran into anyone and it was peaceful. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to get out and away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.
