”We loved staying in this comfortable home which met all of out needs. It had a well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of towels and bathroom essentials. We came to see our grandson graduate from high school at Penn View Christian Academy, and we were thrilled to find such nice accommodations close by. ”

”I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)”

”If you’re looking for an isolated setting where nobody will bother you, this is the place for you! You basically have your own road and there is nothing but woods and cornfields as far as you can see from the house. Perfect for a relaxing trip, with civilization only about 10 minutes away. There were a LOT of dead bugs, however, including a few in our bedding. I’d double check before sleeping in the beds if you stay here. Other than that issue, I would recommend this place as a peaceful getaway!”

This was close and convenient, but provided the unexpected benefit of giving the disorganized branch of the family a landing spot for visiting, prepping and catching up before and after the reunion. This place was perfect. I highly recommend for everyone, especially those who need more than just a comfortable bed, they need to create a sense of home.”

”The scenery is beautiful with a creek close to the house and a covered bridge that reminded of us of a book cover picture...The property is well maintained and obviously very quiet sitting on 60 acres. There was an abundant amout of snacks, codiments and drinks placed for our convenience. All the necessary appliances, cookware, dishes and cups. The sleeping arrangements were perfectly placed and cozy for our stay. All amenities were spot on...The bath was very relaxing, I'll certainly be...

”Me and my friends just spent our New Year's here for two nights. The man cave lives up to its name-- we spent a good deal of the weekend playing pool, darts, and card games, used the grill, and were just a few blocks off from some great food and liquor stores. I'd imagine any sort of group would enjoy coming here, though, given other advantages like access to trails and monuments in historic PA. Everything worked just as we wanted it to, and Mary's filled out the space to create a great place...
