Welcome to Tanawha Forest Escape – your home away from home, where modern comfort meets nature. Nestled in lush forest and teeming with wildlife, our retreat offers a stylish escape just moments from local amenities and main attractions.

Tanawha Forest Escape offers accommodation for up to seven guests, making it an ideal retreat for families, group getaways, mid-week escapes, or a well-earned holiday with loved ones. The guesthouse is thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and fun, ensuring every corner feels welcoming. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms guarantees year-round comfort, while a playful loft net invites you to lounge, read, chat, or even take a nap.

Inside, one of the bedrooms features a spacious queen bed, its own ensuite complete with a shower, toilet, and essential toiletries, along with a built-in robe, ceiling fan, and blockout security shutters to create a peaceful retreat. The other two bedrooms, each fitted with a double bed, built-in robe, ceiling fan, and air conditioning paired with blockout security shutters, promise a similarly restful experience.

The living area is a versatile space featuring a sofa that converts into a king single bed. Board games, a telescope, and three guitars are at your disposal, while a separate toilet enhances the space’s functionality.

For those who love to cook, the fully equipped kitchen is a delight. With a French door double fridge, gas cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, and Sodastream, it has everything you need.

Step out onto the elevated north-facing balcony to discover an outdoor lounge complete with a BBQ, setting the stage for memorable gatherings. Overlooking the lush forest, this serene spot is perfect for unwinding while taking in the sights and sounds of nature. Keep an eye out for kookaburras flitting about, and if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a rare powerful owl at dusk or in the early morning.

PLEASE NOTE: Booking our unit is limited to 7 overnight guests only and we have a strict NO PARTY policy. Non observance of this booking condition will result in Air BnB cancelling your stay immediately and fees WILL apply for breaches of these house rules.

Guests will have private access to the whole guesthouse/unit.
Access to it is through the one shared driveway of the property, and has its own designated two-car secure off-street parking area.

PLEASE NOTE: The guesthouse is on the top level of an American style barn. Also, the hosts live in the property next door.

PLEASE NOTE: There are multiple flights of stairs to access the property and in the guesthouse itself there is another set of stairs to access the upstairs area. Therefore it might not be suitable for someone with mobility impairments or with health conditions.
