New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

This is a beautiful second-row house with private beach access just steps away! This four-bedroom, three-bath home is beautifully decorated, with central heat and air, newly redecorated and open living and dining areas with lots of seating, a well-equipped kitchen, and new living room and dining room furniture. The kitchen has a microwave, a brand new dishwasher, an assortment of small appliances that include a single-serving Keurig, a 12-pot drip coffee maker, and a slow cooker. Other amenities include a brand new washer/dryer, high-speed WiFi, Cable TVs with streaming access, a Blu-ray player, and an electric fireplace! For relaxing ocean or marsh views, there are a total of four sundecks with a table and chairs. You will also find an enclosed outdoor shower, a charcoal grill, and an easy beach access. This home will not disappoint, so book your vacation to Holden Beach now!

Amazing vacation

Nice house and location!

This house fit us very well. The living room was a cozy place for all of us to gather. We loved the deck with the marsh views for morning coffee. The beach access was not far at all which was nice. We would stay again!

Down by the Water a Hit

Private beach access right across the street. Ocean views from front porches and beautiful sunsets from back porches overlooking the marsh. Well equipped kitchen, huge dining room table, and enough bedrooms to accommodate us adults and teenage grandchildren. Having sheets and towels ready for our use upon checking in was such a nice touch.

Enjoyed our stay

Really enjoyed our stay at Down By the Water. There was a few quirky things with the house that required external repairs that could not be completed while we were there. Overall this house was great!!

Great Stay!

The house has the perfect amount of space for our party of 6 (2 adults and 4 teens). We loved that they had their own area upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked great. The beach access is very convenient and the outside shower was nice to be able to rinse the sand off after the beach. The house was decorated nicely and felt very cozy. My only complaint, which seems common with most rentals, is that the beds were not comfy. The downstairs King was particularly bad. We went to Walmart and bought a foam topper and that made a huge difference. We will definitely stay here again and have already booked for next year! We will just bring our mattress topper back with us 😁.

Great stay for our family if 10

The house held our group of 10 well with good space for kids and adults. We did not understand that “linens provided” did not include bath towels or dish cloths. Thankfully, Vacasa responded quickly and helped us procure some towels. I would like to see the home stocked with some basic essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap to get us started at the beginning of the week. Outside of that, the home was comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked with the needed pots and pans and other cooking essentials. An easy walk to the beach made setting up chairs and tents easy each day. This home is best for families because the layout of the bathrooms meant that you were sharing with someone - bathrooms are small and walls were thin.

Very nice home but cleaning crew fell short

The house was very nice and a good fit for our family, but there were some issues with who ever cleaned before we got there! Recycle bin, when we went to replace the bag for the first time was filthy and smelled terrible, they had to notice when they put the new bag on! And there were unclean drawers, however, Vacasa sent a person on call to come and clean and she was very apologetic and very thorough! Note she was not one of the original cleaning crew.

Holden Beach

When we first enter the home, it looked clean and we were pleased. The property is becoming rundown however. Walls have dust webs hanging. Walls and cabinets need to be painted.The kitchen cabinets need to be replaced. We tried to clean the gunk around the cabinet knobs, however it's worn and stained into the material. I understand that cleaning crews have only a certain amount of time to clean homes, but it would be nice to think that from time to time, homes received a proper cleaning. We found roaches in the home. One time I was laying in the bed and looked at the ceiling to see a dark spot not noted before. This turned out to be a rather large roach. It makes me shutter to think about it. We did report the front stair rail was loose and this was repaired. The vacuum didn't work properly. Hair was wrapped around the beater bar preventing it from moving properly. If we discovered this, how well was the home vacuumed. Vacasa did bring out a new vaccum. When you're sitting in the bathroom, it's yucky looking at the baseboards and just the general state of the room. I'm not certain when the floors under the beds were last vacuumed. This home is in a great location however it does need some work. I hope this report goes straight to Vacasa and not the public. I want this to be helpfull and hope that Vacasa will look into my concerns.This is just an average property.
