”The historical property has much of the old school charm of earlier San Francisco.
The room was nicely decorated with a nice, spacious couch and table, the the Junior Queen Suite. Many restaurants, bars, and museums were in easy walking distance.
The 4th floor is allegedly haunted, which can make for interesting considerations.

”Bed was adequate but splendid when I first arrived. Hamburger joint sharing the property has a good value and I ate there daily in order to be well fed for the Dead and Co shows. The staff are all very nice and helpful and really care that you’re happy. Basic room. Would recommend. ”

”I had issues (twice...) with the codes not working when trying to enter my room which made me feel unsafe especially when this happened midnight. Reception is not open after 10pm so I received help via Whatsapp and staff was helpful.
Other things that lower my rating were the metal beds that made a lot of noise. Also the whole floor only had 2 showers working. I have never had to wait to shower in hostel before. I wish toilets had more hooks to put towels/clothes in and rooms had mirrors....

Location was good, Nob hill cable car end station is just around the corner. However, for people in good condition it takes approx 30-40 minutes to walk to Fisherman’s Wharf.
