I love a good heritage property, even one without a lift. This might be a dealbreaker for acutely afflicted people, but there is a dumbwaiter for moving luggage to upper floors if one is borderline challenged. If I had a choice, I might avoid this location on a Saturday night unless you have SUPER earplugs. Right off a really festive area with pub leavers til 3:30am. Everything else was absolutely lovely.

Great room for being so small, except a really musty smell (old heritage bldg mustiness, not from former inhabitant). This is a sweet character property, lots of style... warning... no lift! But also, luggage can travel via dumbwaiter to another floor. The wee little bar is great, happy hour 5-7, and the creperie also has fab coffee and breakfast. We liked it here well enough that we extended stay for three more days with a larger room and bed!

Very old hotel but well kept. Staff were excellent. The hotel does not have an elevator but staff took and retrieved luggage using a small service elevator

The location was everything. Dylan was also super nice and friendly. The rest of the staff were so-so. The carpet in room 102 was filthy. I would not go back.

Awesome Stay in Sydney
The hotel is located in a renovated heritage building and is in an area with plenty of nice eateries and pubs. Our room was awesome, the bathroom was great and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was exceptional, very helpful and professional.

Superb location in The Rocks. Close to multiple restaurants and shopping as well as Circular Quay. The staff of the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was smaller than some of the hotels in the area. It was quiet and the staff was excellent. The room was adequate for our needs. It was a little more expensive. The ambiance of the hotel was nice. I will stay there again the next time I am in Sydney.

Best bed in Aus
We only stayed one night here, but the location was fabulous, the room was charming, and it was the most comfortable bed we slept on during the whole 14 nights we were in Australia. Next time we go back to Sydney we are definitely staying here.

Expensive price for very poor stay
Full of mosquitoes, terrible old bed and stuffy, small rooms, for a very high price. The service however, was excellent, friendly and professional staff.

It’s in a great location, lots of restaurants within 2 min walk, only 5 minute walk to the wharf for spectacular views of the harbour bridge and opera house whilst dining at award winning restaurants. Rooms were a bit dated and not soundproof. Beds were comfortable. Staff however were outstanding, very accommodating.

Great old property. Professional, helpful and friendly staff. Significntly overpriced for the size of the room. Air conditioning didnt work and the blinds on the windows were faulty. Which id surprising considering the charge.
