Nestled in the heart of the mid-Blue Mountains, Ferncreek Studio is a serene, self-contained retreat offering comfort, privacy and stunning native bush garden views. It's huge windows offer a panoramic view of the huge backyard full of native trees and birds. It is ideal for two guests but can accommodate up to four (double air-mattress; extra fees apply). Whether you’re a nature lover, romantic couple, bird enthusiast, hiker or someone seeking a peaceful escape, Ferncreek Studio is the perfect choice. It is a self check-in and the key will be provided to you.

Your Private Retreat
Ferncreek Studio provides a fully private space with its own entrance, a spacious balcony and direct access to a large backyard featuring native trees and flowers and tranquil creek surrounded by ferns. The studio is part of the main property but offers complete privacy, ensuring a peaceful stay.

Living Area: The studio is furnished with antique armchairs, a cozy couch and a double bed. A TV, DVD player, and a library of movies are available for your entertainment. Fast Wi-Fi ensures you can stay connected if needed. To get to the studio, come down a few steps from the street to the front yard, follow the path of pavers to the studio, located a few steps up the wooden stairs.

Kitchenette: Fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, fridge, sink, and basic cooking essentials, the kitchenette is perfect for preparing meals or snacks. The fridge is very quiet.

Bathroom: Enjoy a modern bathroom with a high-tech toilet featuring seat heating, massage, washing, and even music options—though it functions as a regular toilet when powered off. Guests often find it both fun and luxurious to use. The shower has excellent water pressure with hot and cold options, ensuring a refreshing experience.

Outdoor Space: The private balcony and an enclosed courtyard, furnished with a BBQ, table and chairs. Relax and take in the serene garden views as you enjoy a morning coffee or an evening meal.
Note: The backyard opens into an expansive garden area with a creek but is not fully fenced. Supervision is required for children and pets.

A Birdwatcher’s and Photographer’s Paradise
Ferncreek Studio is a haven for nature lovers, particularly bird enthusiasts and photographers. The garden and veranda are visited daily by a variety of native birds, including:
Parrots and lorikeets
Kookaburras
Bowerbirds
Native pigeons
Lyrebirds - you will hear Lyrebirds by the creek daily and you can see them displaying by the creek if you very quietly get close.
The stunning King Parrots and other birds often perch on the balcony, creating incredible opportunities for observation and photography. Some are so friendly they may even land on your hand! In the evening, the garden comes alive with nocturnal visitors like possums and sugar gliders, adding to the magical atmosphere.

Exploring the Blue Mountains
The studio is ideally located for exploring the natural beauty and famous landmarks of the Blue Mountains. Wentworth Falls with majestic views of Jameson Valley and stunning walks - only 10-15min drive away.

Hazelbrook Waterfalls: Several stunning waterfalls, such as Hazel, Edith, and Mabel Falls, are within a 30-minute walk on well-maintained trails. Platypuses have been spotted in these areas, making them even more special.
Terrace Falls Circuit: Just a 5-minute drive away, this circuit is known as one of the most beautiful trails in the Blue Mountains, offering a series of breathtaking waterfalls and lush forest scenery.
Glow Worms: Visit the magical glow-worm caves at Horseshoe Falls in Hazelbrook. Head out at sundown to experience the enchanting "fairy lights" display.
Katoomba, Leura, and Wentworth Falls: Within a 15-minute drive, these iconic locations offer spectacular canyon views, famous hikes, and world-renowned attractions.

Convenient Location
Hazelbrook is centrally located in the Blue Mountains, making it easy to access both local attractions and those farther afield.

Transport: Hazelbrook train station is a 10-15 minute walk, with direct trains to Sydney Central Station (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes). By car, the drive to Sydney takes about 1hr or a bit more, depending on traffic.

Local Amenities: Shops, cafes, and a supermarket are all within walking distance.

Pet-Friendly Accommodation
Pets are welcome at Ferncreek Studio, but it is important to contact the host before booking to discuss your pet's needs.

Rules: Only house-trained pets are allowed. Pets must stay off furniture and beds and should not be left to bark continuously if left alone.
Guest Responsibility: Guests must bring all necessary items for their pets, including bedding and towels. Please ensure that pet waste is promptly cleaned up and disposed of in the provided bins.
There is a 5x5 meter fully fenced outdoor space where pets can be securely left.

Additional Information
Extra Guests: The studio can accommodate up to two additional guests on an air mattress ($30 AUD per person, per night). Children under 7 stay free.
Discounts: Enjoy a 25% discount on week-long bookings and a 35-40% discount on monthly stays. Contact the host for details on long-term bookings.
Cleaning: To keep costs low, no cleaning fee is charged. Guests are kindly requested to do a light clean before check-out, including washing dishes and sweeping the floor. A $30 fee applies if guests prefer not to clean.
Check-In/Out: Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional fee. Please discuss with the host in advance.
