”The best dog friendly rental we have stayed in so far. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, nicely updated and the rustic decor charming. Scaly mountain is between Highlands NC and Dillard Ga, so close enough either way to enjoy shopping and restaurants but rural enough to feel like you live in the country. Lots of dog friendly hiking trails nearby. Loved the front porch with its swing and cool evenings, and the fire pit. Definitely recommend.”

”Charming mountain house with a wrap around deck and screened porch. Hot tub was great and kitchen details - like pot holders and corkscrew/bottle opener - appreciated very much. Enjoyable just sitting on the deck and enjoying the nature and peace. Would recommend a 4 wheel drive to get up and down Plott Balsam Road (though we did manage with a 2wd sedan). Very close to Soco Falls and Blue Ridge Parkway. A lovely secluded getaway that you won't want to leave. ”

”Our host was very friendly and was kind to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen seemed to be adequately furnished. We spent most of our time helping our grandson move in the university for his final year. We really appreciate the fact that the cabin was pet friendly so we could bring our 10 lb Maltese rescue with us. We had a really great stay and would stay there again. I would definitely recommend it to other visitors to the area.”
