I'm not sure how this property got an average of 6.6 stars. The staff at this place (especially the lady who was working that night) were exceptional. Everything except for the staff and their service was below average.
The stairs and hallways of the motel were incredibly dirty and poorly maintained. There was a smell of urine, vomit and/or marijuana in various areas in and around the motel. The room I had booked was OK but the toliet seat of the bathroom was dirty and had not been cleaned.
The amazing lady at the front desk immediatelty apologized for the condition of the bathroom and switched us to a different room. However, this next room had a jammed door that did not open. Once again, the amazing front desk lady came to the rescue, apologized and switched us to another room.
The third room was not bad, relatively clean, had a working fridge and microwave. When i started taking a shower in the bathroom the next morning, I noticed that the shower gel dispenser was completely empty. Yet another problem in my brief 10-hour stay at this Red Roof Inn.
I want to take a moment to recognize the amazing staff at this motel! The lady who worked the front desk overnight as well as the front desk lady in the morning, were exceptional and were the only saving grace of both this property and our experience there. These ladies deserve to be recognized, although sadly I only remember that both names started with the letter D. Shoutout to them for going above and beyond.
