Rentoutumista keskellä ei mitään
Israelilaisten rakentama hotelli on jäänyt Egyptin puolelle Siinain niemimaan siirryttyä Egyptin hallintaan. Hotelli sijaitsee kirjaimellisesti rajavyöhykkeellä. Rajan yli pääsee Eilatista kätevästi. Egyptin rajaveroa (n. 100 puntaa) ei tarvitse maksaa jos ei matkaa pidemmälle rajavyöhykkeeltä. Hotellilla ei ole kuntosalia, eikä lenkkimahdollisuuksia juuri ole (rajavyöhyke loppuu alle kilometrin päässä hotellilta). Hotellilla ei ilmaista wifiä. Sukeltaminen hotellialueella olevan sukellusfirman kautta on edullista. Maisemat hotellin lähistöllä olevilla riutoilla ovat upeat. Hotellialueella syöminen ja juominen on järkevän hintaista, mutta ravintoloiden laadussa on toivomisen varaa. Kävelymatkan päässä ei käytännössä muita ravintoloita kuin Hiltonin ja viereisen Mövenpick-hotellin raflat. Lähimpään Egyptin puolen kaupunkiin 2h ajomatka. Eilatiin pääsee kätevästi menemällä rajan yli ja otamalla taksin keskustaan. Hotellissa vieraana paljon venäläisiä, hotellin johtajan mukaan brittien määrä on vähentynyt rajusti Egyptin levottomuuksien alettua. Hinta/laatu paljon parempi kuin hotelleissa Eilatin puolella. Palvelu on ystävällinen.

Erinomainen hinta/laatu-suhde
Hotellihinnat Israelissa pääsiäisviikoilla New Yorkin tasoa. Etsin vaihtiehtoa ja löysin rajan pinnassa Egyptin puolella sijaitsevan Hilton Taba Resortin. Se maksoi 1/4 vastaavasta hotellista Israelissa. Siirryin mutkattomasti rajan yli ja Eilatin keskustaan taksi maksoi noin 8 euroa ja siirtymäaika kaikkiaan 25 minuuttia. Tabasta käsin kävin Eilatin ohella Tel Avivissa ja Haifassa palaten yöksi Tabaan. Säästin näin majoituksesa ja ruokailuissa noin 1000 euroa. Hilton Taban ranta je allasaslue on 10 kertaa suurempi kuin yhdednkään Eilatin hotellin. Ruuhkaa ei ollut kuten Israelin puolella hotelleissa ja rannoilla.. Lisäksi 23 kilometrin päässä Taba Higtsissa on 18-reikäinen golfkenttä,

Amazing hotel by the Taba border!
We had an amazing time! Everything was clean and well organized, the staff was super friendly, the pool and private-beach were awesome and inviting, and the food was very varied and delicious. We'll be back for sure.
