”We don’t have a whole lot to complain about, so 4 stars is harsh, but Expedia didn’t give a 4.5 star option. It was a clean and quiet hotel where the rooms and public areas were all in good shape. (We didn’t have time to use their spa and pool.) If we were to stay in this area, I wouldn’t mind picking this hotel again. (I might prefer a different lake for water activities to avoid the freeway noise at Donner Lake, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.) On the negative side, the young woman at the...

”Breakfast is ok. Routine items on the menu. Clean room but the housekeeping person only made the bed and replaced towels. Didn't clean the bathroom sink or vacuum the floor.”

”I would stay here again. On site sauna and gym open til 10pm, gym is small but clean. They also have an on-site restaurant thats extra but breakfast was fresh and quality was excellent. One mile walk into downtown Truckee and 0.5 mile walk to nearest plaza that has a decent Thai and wine restaurant. Short 20 mins drive from Palisades if there's no traffic.”

”Interesting and unique place ! The bed was super comfortable, slept great. Rooms very small and no extra frills, it worked for the main purpose, sleep, shower. Perfect place for travelers to meet and mingle. Mostly spent our time in Truckees many restaurants/bars or Northstar skiing. I would recommend if looking for a lil more affordable place ! Personally a lil pricy for a hostel, but its Truckee, tourist town and close to skii resorts, thats just the way it is !”

”We were there the first day of the off season so it was very quiet in the village but necessary shops and a few restaurants were still open. We enjoyed it - very peaceful. Enjoyed the hot tub in our building in the evening. Would recommend to anyone interested in visiting Tahoe.”

”Fabulous view. Great service. Tryout there new Mexican restaurant hidden in the side . Ask for Guided hiking tours. They arranged sailing for us as well. It from anywhere and everything. I will strongly advise to rent a car at the airport. Keep it up team Ritzy.”

”The room looked clean, but unfortunately it did not smell fresh. There was a noticeable odor, like dust and something stored away for a long time, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. With better ventilation or a deeper cleaning, the experience could have been much better.”
