”Absolutely loved our time at Basecamp. The location is perfect, at the edge of the Masai Mara, we heard the lions at night, while sleeping. The staff all of them, were so friendly and helpful from the front staff to the night guards. Camp on a river, so you see the animals come for water, open view to see them roaming across the river! After just a few short hours of being there, the Maasai guards knew who we were and where our tent was. Excellent food with lots of options (plus a full bar), and the staff really go out of their way to ensure the comfort of each and every guest. The tents have lots of space and all the comforts we are used to at home. If you’re booking a safari game drive with them, do insist on a Toyota Land Cruiser over the Land Rover.”

We had the presidential suite so we had the whole suite to ourselves which was nice. Food was good, lot of variety (vegetarian and indian food options). The staff are wonderful, Geoffrey was friendly and attentive at the restaurant, chef Nicholas was helpful with my lactose intolerance and there were many other wonderful staff too.
