”Great place to stay for 1 night or longer! We loved the firepit! Inside was comfy and cozy... bed was really comfortable. Host was quick to communicate. It was perfect for our stay!”

”We stayed here July 21-23, 2025. It was perfect for us. Very very clean and comfortable. We had a rental vehicle so we drove to the main area of town for shopping, eating etc but walking there is do-able also. We would definitely stay here again!”

”Our stay was amazing. It’s just a few minutes walk from the downtown area which offers restaurants and entertainment along with crafts and a lot of culture. The accommodations were extremely clean and well kept and up-to-date. We especially loved having our own fire pit and pre-cut wood to spend our night and connect with family! Thank you ! ”

”Very clean and comfortable stay. It was tight with five people and luggage but we knew that going in and it was fine for a one-night stay. One pull-out couch was ok, the other quite uncomfortable. For those looking for a longer stay, the cabin would be perfect for a couple or small family. Dowtown Talkeetna was less than a 5 minute drive but also walkable. The immediate neighborhood had some run-down properties but didn’t feel unsafe. Communication with the hosts was very good. ”

”We had a wonderful stay at The Lazy Birch. The entire property was thoughtfully laid out and maintained. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake and using the paddle boat and kayaks. Sitting quietly on the lake and watching the loons was so relaxing. Our teens also really enjoyed the provided outdoor games. The amenities inside were numerous and we were quite comfortable during our stay. Darryl was very fast to respond and very pleasant. We definitely hope to stay here again!”

”This cabin is super clean and stock full of amenities. The surrounding is very private, quiet, and full of beautiful trees. You can hear the birds singing all day long. The hosts are very friendly. They come and clean the compost toilet every day. We had a lovely stay during the 4th of July and can't wait for the next visit. ”

”Jim's spot was the perfect place to call home while exploring Talkeetna. Not too far from the town but also so secluded and quiet. Everything was as described - we even were welcomed by homemade brownies. Jim and his pup were super friendly and kind. Falling asleep surrounded by woods is a peace like none other.”

”Great fun! Unique and fun place to stay. We went on the dog sled ride and had such a great experience with Carrie explaining everything and letting us help with the dogs. They were so great- everything was! ”

”House was cold when we arrived. Windows were open...I think to air out the cabin from the wood smoke smell. It smelled that previosly someone couldnt get the fire going (wet wood or poor draft). Once we closed the wondows the cabin warmed. Alternative heating to just using wood would be a good idea...especially on cooler days. Overall the host was great and the cabin cosy. ”
