”All was lovely. The staff were pleasant. Typical Javanese Breakfast of rice, noodles, tempeh and coffee was good. The room was nice and location was on a quite Street just off of Ijen with several local restaurants nearby. We were hoping to extend our stay for a week but the WiFi was nonexistent and we could not get cell service in the room. WiFi worked okay in the lobby just outside but because of this we found another hotel just around the corner.”

”We booked a room for 4 people on Expedia which had good reviews and a high rating, but when we arrived it was a 12 bedded dorm which we would not have booked. We emailed the property for clarification but we did not get a response.We feel we were not given what we asked for. On the website it stated that there was a 4 bedded room available but not a 3 bedded room or 2 bedded room. So we felt there were only 4 beds in a room. Could you explain how this has happened? ”Rooms were very comfortable and clean, with a great view over the city of Malang. Staff was very friendly too and even though they had quite a few trainees on the roster when I stayed, they tried their best and always had a smile on their face, even though they were still learning and occasionally had to clarify a number of things with the senior staff. I had to set off very early in the morning but they were kind enough to prepare a packed breakfast (with delicious nasi goreng) for me. ”
