Rauhallinen sijainti 13 metrin makean veden uima-altaan kanssa

Muhudu Niwasa - sinhaalainen meritalolle on noin 1. 5 mailin päässä Tangallasta pienessä Medillan kylässä, Sri Lankan eteläisimmässä pisteessä, josta on näkymät Intian valtamerelle. Se sijaitsee omassa kookoslehdossa, ja portti johtaa suoraan kauniille valkoiselle hiekkarannalle. Bougainvillea, hibiscus ja temppelin kukkapuut kukoistavat puutarhassa täydellisen trooppisen ympäristön. Talo on suuri ja ilmava. Tilavalla teak-verannalla ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on talon pituus merinäköalalla. Takana olevista ikkunoista on upeat näkymät laguunien yli etäisyyden kukkuloille. Meillä on upea isäntäpari, joka on ollut kanssamme 15 vuotta. He valmistavat herkullisimmat paikalliset ruokia ja huolehtivat yhdessä muun henkilöstön kanssa jokaisesta tarpeestasi.

Island Paradise

We had a wonderful stay here, the house is even much more beautiful than we could tell from the pictures, the grounds are so well maintained, and the pool was a so large and clean, the beach long and relaxing. Cheers to the staff who was so wonderful, prepared our food, maintained the home so beautifully, and made us feel so comfortable in this island retreat. We can't wait to come back.

A perfect villa in a stunning location.

We spent Xmas and New Year 2018/19 at Muhudu Niwasa with friends and family. Everything about our stay was perfect in every way, from collection at the airport, to trips out & tuk tuk rides. The food was out of this world cooked by Sarath & his wife, we ate out a couple of times but the food here was better than any restaurant we ate in. The staff were friendly, polite and interesting to talk to and always there to help in whatever way was required. I cannot recommend Muhudu Niwasa & Sri Lanka highly enough, what an enchanting place and we were all very sad to leave but will no doubt return again.

Lovely peaceful location with great pool

The property is located right by a pretty, unspoilt beach with wonderful sea views from the first floor balcony off the master bedroom. The coconut trees provide plenty of shade from the hot sun and the pool is large and very clean. The gym and massage room are a great addition. The team of 4 staff keep the house and garden spotless and Pradeep and Tharaka were a great help to us while we were there. Renu provided tasty meals as required. The kitchen is small with a 2 gas ring hob (no microwave or oven).There are lots of restaurants in walking distance from the villa. The sea is very rough in front of the villa but it is possible to swim behind the breakwater about 5 mins walk along the beach or in a sheltered bay a short tuktuk drive away.. Kayaking in the mangrove lagoon behind the villa is a fun experience. Well located for sightseeing or pure relaxation. We spent a fabulous 5 weeks there doing a bit of everything.

Zuerst einmal möchten wir uns bei Pradeep, Tharika & Renu für die tolle Gastfreundschaft, den freundlichen Service und das super Essen bedanken. Es waren 2 wunderschöne Flitterwochen mit Erholung und Entspannung. Eine traumhafte Villa mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick und einem unvergesslichen Pool zum dahinschmelzen. Our family holiday in paradise

Myself husband and two daughters recently stayed for 10 days at this wonderful property The accommodation is clean comfortable and in the most beautiful location The staff that work at the house are friendly and attentive and we were wonderfully looked after, including fantastic food and the organising of any trips we wanted to go on I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit beautiful Sri-Lanka

Wunderschönes Grundstück

Ein super Platz für Ferien mit einer Familie. Das Haus liegt gleich am Meer umrahmt von schönen Palmen. Das Haus ist 30 Jahre alt und hat keine Glasfenster. Dies ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, wenn man lieber moderne Bauten mag. Nichtsdestotrotz gewöhnt man sich schnell daran, da die Umgebung und der schöne Pool gut kompensiert. Da die Lagune in der Nähe ist, hat es enorm viele Mücken: unbedingt anti-Mückenspray mitnehmen! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Gekocht wird extrem gut! Alles in allem ein super Ort, wenn einem das alte Haus nicht stört. Preislich allerdings eher zu teuer, wenn man das Haus mit anderen, neueren Häuser in der Umgebung vergleicht.

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy charms of Sri Lankan Coast

As a family of 4 who have not been together for most of the previous year this was the perfect place for us to chill out and bond as a family together. The location is amazing, the coast and sound of the waves is captivating, the excursions possible nearby magical, the food delicious and the attentive staff very helpful. Thanks and we are very likely to return to Sri Lanka after this magical experience.

A beach front paradise with all needs catered for by a friendly and helpful team

Five of us stayed 12 nights at Tangalla after 9 days touring the island. The booking arrangements were easy and all queries so helpfully answered. The villa is beautifully designed and sits in a stunning, generously wide beach front plot which is all immaculately tended. We ate in most of the time (apart from a nice (quite expensive) evening at the excellent Anantara Hotel) and the cooking was exceptional, especially the fresh fish, fruity breakfasts and the lunchtime roti and dhal. Most of the time was spent on the beach, swimming in the sea or in the really great pool, sunbathing, reading and being looked after by the ever cheerful team, with (only) occasional bouts in the gym and massage room. We also made forays to Galle, Mulkirigala Rock Temple, Uda Walawe National Park (5 am start definitely worth it!), with the arrangements all taken care of by the staff. This is a magical spot and experience! Thanks to all involved for making it so!

A really relaxing place to stay

The villa was as described, a lovely house, with a garden full of trees and flowering bushes, and the sea swishing on the sand, just outside the garden gate. We were extremely well looked after by the staff, who were very welcoming, cheerful and friendly. At the same time, they were unobtusive, but available and eager to please. The meals, prepared by Sarath and his family, were delicious, with the local fish straight from the sea, a real treat As was our intention, we had a really relaxing time, but there was also plenty to do, be it swimming in the sea or in the pool, going for walks, bird watching or visiting places, such as to Galle or to see the turtles laying their eggs, travelling in Tuk-Tuks or the mini bus. All in all a memorable holiday.

Paradijs op aarde in alle opzichten!

Het overtrof alle verwachtingen, wat een prachtige plek om een week te verblijven! Het geluid van de zee, prachtig zwembad,sfeervol huis, niet te drukke omgeving, prachtige tuin maar bovenal een fantastisch staff die de lekkerste ontbijtjes en avondmaaltijden op tafel zet en je bij alles helpt mocht je dat willen, enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Al met al een paradijs!

Sublimely , divinely , blissfully , spot on !

I have known Mahudu Niwasa since it first rose from the ground in the eighties. Lovely times and fantastic stories back in the day ,when the water could only arrive via the bull-cart and there was no electricity. The house was passionately developed over many years and the owner philanthropically connected this little oasis hamlet on the ocean with water and electricity. We have been fortunate to stay there many times and enjoyed its sybaritic pleasures, and wonderful service from the delightful staff. To immerse oneself in this pure tranquility is the most wonderful tonic and one begins to question our frantic lifestyle , and the locals gentle and peaceful daily life. Go to Mahudu Niwasa for a great chill out experience.

Heaven!

What a stunning place maintained and run by on site managers. We have a wonderful holiday here exploring this beautiful country and then being able to return to the tranquility and peace of this house. The only noise to here is the peaceful sound of the waves and birds. The pool is a god send being able to cool down in the hot sun. The food which is served for you here is better than any restaurant we have been to. The re are people on hand to assist with your trips around the island as I wouldn't recommend anyone drives here. They are mad! Tuk Tuks, motor bikes, pedal cycles, general traffic just weaving in and out and overtaking when ever they can regardless of the traffic. We would love to come back to the island again and if we do we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else

Perfect Beach House

Muhudu Niwasa is the perfect beach villa, literally on the beach. The house is well maintained and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed there for a week with our family including grandchildren and our every need was taken care of. The cook did all the shopping and cooked all our meals and the housekeeper was always on hand to wait on us and make tea whenever we wanted some. The pool is wonderful, set in a beautiful garden and there is miles of stunning beach just through the garden gate. We would highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for peace, rest and a bit of pampering in a home from home environment.

Extremely relaxing rustic property,

One of most relaxing and enjoyable holidays. The villa was perfect in a wonderfully quiet and peaceful location,with a wonderful pool and garden. Only a took tuk ride to Tangalla and bars and restaurants are dotted along the beach should you wish. The chef and the rest of the other staff were wonderful during our stay, I'm already missing all of the delicious curries and fruit! We will be back!

Wonderful Location

We had a wonderful holiday in this traditional Sri Lankan villa. It has a very relaxing position right on the beach with the sound of the Indian Ocean never far away. The garden is a wonderful place to relax and the infinity pool is fantastic. To compliment the setting the staff are friendly,helpful and yet discreet. The food prepared by the staff was excellent and always prepared to a high standard and their aim was to please all of the time. If you are tired of the daily hustle and bustle of modern hectic life, then this holiday is for you. Thank you to the whole team, who tried their best to make our holiday one of the best. Great location,food and staff.

7 of us staying for 5 nights at this wonderful place. The villa is set in lovely grounds right on the beach as you can see in the pictures. Sarath the cook made our breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, His vegetable curries are fantastic. He will cook whatever you ask but you can't go wrong with his curries. The bill for the food worked out around £5 per person per day! The beach at the front of the property is quiet and clean, To swim it's best you walk 200-300 yards down the beach where the water is rock free. We spent one afternoon canoeing on the lagoon at the rear of the property, Plenty of bird life to be seen and we even had a fish jump in one of our canoes. Room wise the villa suited our needs perfectly being a large mixed group of adults but there is only one large double room, The other double and twin rooms are fine but not that big. The pool is lovely as well. Will return again in a couple of years.

Great for family relaxation

Our family: 2 adults and twins age 15, stayed at this lovely place for 10 days. We enjoyed the big Nice pool and wonderful terraces with sea view, palmtrees and the sounds from birds. The housecook Sarath made all our meals which were lovely, and we tasted a lot of new things, especially fruits we never saw before :-). The house caretaker Pradeep was very helpful together with the other two staff members helped us arrange cayak on the lagoon, massage at the house and tuk tuk. We also went for 2 trips with Upal who also helped us and told us local stuff. Upal both picked us up and dropped us at the airport in Colombo - Everything went fine! We Can defenetly recommend this place, especially if you like a tranquil relaxed holiday in exotic beautiful surroundings with nice people around (discrete !!) nous etions 2 familles ( 4 adultes et 4 enfants) pour 12 jours au sri lanka. privilegiant le calme nous avons opté pour une masion à louer. et là nous avons trouvé un havre de paix . accueillis tous d'abord par Upul à l'aeroport , nous avons pu discuter du sejour et etablir un programme de visite avec lui . resultat il organise tout de A à Z et on se laisse porter.( visite de temple,d'une plantation de thé , bateau pour voir les baleines bleues et parc uda walawe) nous arrivons à la maison et somme accuiellis par 4 personnes Pradeep qui fait office de contremaitre et garde la maison quand nous nous absentons ( il est venu 2 fois à 5 h du matin pour nos departs tres matinaux,et toujours avec le sourire)sarath qui cuisine merveilleusement bien ( pour avoir dû manger 3 fois ailleurs , personne n'arrive à son niveau), Takara qui s'occupe de la maison et le dernier dont je n'ai pas retenu le prenom qui s'occupe de l'exterieur et la piscine. toutes ces personnes sont tres accueillants ,tres serviables ; il y a toujours au moins une personne presente mais tout en etant vraiment tres discret.il faut dire que la maison et le jardin sont suffisement grands pour ne pa etre les uns sur les autres . une petite terrasse face à la piscine leur est un peu reservé et ils ne sont pas avec nous sur la terasse principale. la piscine est superbe et suffisement grande pour se faire des parties de ballons endiablées. seul bemol l'ocean qui est vraiment agité et peu propice à la baignade. nous avons pris regulierement des tuk tuk ( contactés par takara) pour nous rendre à Tangalle . un sejour inoubliable dans ce petit paradis!

Wonderful visit to Sri Lanka!

What a fantastic beach house! We are a British family of 4 with children aged 13 and 11. It is the most breathtaking location, right on the beach and perfect in every way. Traditional in style, the house has plenty of space and was spotlessly clean. The kids appreciated the beach, the beautiful pool and the hammocks, dotted all around the garden! The house staff are amazing, the food was better than the two local restaurants we tried (and wished we hadn't bothered with!). They were kind, efficient, friendly and discreet, we felt like we were visiting family! Upal was incredible and was a tour guide as well as a careful driver. Would recommend using him as the driving on the island is nothing short of crazy! We had a wonderful, relaxing stay, albeit very short, as we ventured to Tangalle for just one week at half term. The only down side to this property was the awfully long transfer from Colombo. Even using the new Expressway to Galle it was still a five hour slog (our flight arrived at 0430 so I guess it could be an even longer journey in rush hour?!). I gather there is a new airport coming to the south of the island and this would be a better bet than Colombo once it opens sometime in 2013. With hindsight I wished we had booked the Sri Lankan air taxi to Dickwella which is only about 10km up the road. I think the fare is about US120 per person but it would have been worth it! Next time! A beautiful place that I have no issues in recommending to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing stay in paradise. Would love to return.

Fantastic stay at Muhudu Niwasa

We - two families (4 adults and 9 children) from the Netherlands - stayed for 9 days at the house. And we had a fantastic time! The house is great. Nice rooms and clean! The garden is wonderful and the view is of course very, very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. The cook Sarath makes superb meals, we enjoyed it very, very much. We already had seen a lot before we arrived at Tangalla, but we have done some very nice daytrips from Tangalla. Like Yala Park (not more than 1,5 hour driving), Mulkirigala and Galle). I'm sure that next guests will also enjoy their stay!
