Small boutique hotel close to Mt. Kilimanjaro. Spacious though quite basic room with convenient walk-in closet. Staff was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. The only minus was that if you stayed in the restaurant building, you’d wake up 6.30 am for the noise of setting up the breakfast.

Johari Rotana is for sure the best hotel in Dar es Salaam. We first stayed for two nights and changed the hotel as planned - but then we returned and booked another night before leaving.
Breakfast is exceptional, the gym is good, and it is the perfect hotel for exploring Dar or just staying in and enjoying hotel facilities.
However, I want to highlight that we booked one room for three people, and obviously, we assumed that the room would cover beds for three people, which wasn't the case....
