Such a great stay! The house is adorable and on the historic register. Lots of thoughtful details. The yard and hit tub are awesome too, and the location is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants. Property manager is lovely — thanks, Linda!

Gorgeous historic vibe and a great hot tub in the back courtyard for after-ski. Very unique home with a lot of love poured into it.

We loved our stay at Casa Carlos. You could tell this property has been curated with love. All the fun decor and art, the impeccable restorations, and Taos charm made this stay very special. It’s close to plaza but also veey quiet. We slept great in the comfy king bed, enjoyed the hot tub one night and loved sitting in the living room by the kiva fireplace. The property manager, Linda, is a delight to work with. They didn’t miss a thing. Five star all the way!

Old Adobe Charm Minutes from Everything

This place is gorgeous. My husband, our two sons and I stayed and we loved it. Every last inch of the is place oozes old Taos beauty and charm. The garden is spectacular, and a wonderful place to spend time with friends. I would 100% stay here again.

Loved Casa Carlos!

We loved our stay here and look forward to going back. The garden was beautiful, inspiring and peaceful. Lovely neighbors. Home had authentic Taos decor & the historic architecture was gorgeous.

This casita is an oasis of style, comfort, and charm. Located within walking distance to all in town amenities, it's also a peaceful place to relax all on its own. Highly recommend for a couple or friends willing to share one bathroom.

Great getaway, wonderful location

We loved our stay at Casa Carlos. What an amazing, beautiful and comfortable home. We enjoyed all the treasures throughout the house. Quirky art, crafts, furnishings - a feast for the eyes.We slept well, too, in this quiet neighborhood, and made good use of the relaxing back yard complete with pond and hot tub. Can’t wait to return and recommend 100%.

Amazing Place

We loved the home and had an amazing time. It is beautiful and the decor was very much New Mexico. It is in a great area where you can walk safely to the plaza. The garden is beautiful and tranquil. We had breakfast and coffee outside. We look forward to being back!

Holiday get away at Casa Carlos

Everything was top notch! The property was so cool - historical with modern updates and comfort. Well stocked kitchen, record player with great mix of records to play, hot tub, super close to the old square - couldn't have asked for more. Both property management and caretaker were super attentive, communicative and nice.10/10 would stay here again.

This is not just any vacation rental. Casa Carlos is an authentic 200-year-old adobe that has been beautifully and very tastefully updated. Staying there made our 4 days in Taos special.It’s an easy stroll to the plaza and all of the surrounding restaurants, galleries and shopping. But I enjoyed taking rambling walks through the city and its eclectic neighborhoods on cool summer mornings before anything was open just as much. In 5 minutes you can walk to a location where your only view is of open fields snd looming mountains.We particularly enjoyed the sunny kitchen, the charming backyard and the lovely bathroom, with its tiled shower with casement windows. The powerful water pressure and steaming hot water got every day off to a great start!The only minor issues were a) the mini-split AC unit is only in the kitchen snd struggled to keep the whole house cool on hot afternoons and b) the TV in the living room is awkwardly located and a bit outdated. But we didn’t come to this charming town to watch TV, and it was more than adequate for me to check in gor World Cup and British Open highlights!I can’t wait to go back to Taos and Casa Carlos has spoiled us for staying anywhere else.

Taos Magic

Casa Carlos is gorgeous. Every little detail is well-curated and the property is pure Taos. There is everything you need here plus a beautiful yard and hot tub. I would recommend it to anyone and will come back! We all hated to leave.

Amazing place and location.

Casa Carlos was the perfect spot for my family of 3. Very easy check in and out process. Close to downtown shops and restaurants. Easy drive to Taos Ski valley. The place is exactly as pictured. Very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and everything Casa Carlos had to offer. We are already planning our next trip back to Taos and will definitely stay here again.

It is within easy walking distance to the town center and easy drives to the Taos Pueblo, Ski Valley, Rio Grande bridge and many other areas of interest. The significant plus is a serene, peaceful outdoor space with gardens, various comfortable seating areas, a fire pit and hot tub. We spent a great deal of time in this outdoor setting after spending the day out and about. The home is well-equipped with everything you need. It is an old home so it has its quirks, but to us that’s what made it more special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.
