Majatalot – Taos

”It is a historic inn, but still the carpet in the room was stained, the window shutter needed repair, the heating was difficult to control. The inn is on the Main Street so lots of traffic noise. It was Halloween so there was extra noise and loud screeching vehicles late at night.”

”perfect place to stay”

”I loved the property location & proximity to everything I needed. It was easy to walk around to galleries& shops. My only complaint is about the bed (king) and I feel it’s just my personal preference instead of an actual problem. Not a show stopper, but I did not think the mattress was very comfortable. But again it could just be me I would recommend and stay again.”

”We had a great stay, staff at bar very helpful. One note: we stayed on 1st floor room, sound proofing deficient ! Guests just walking in room above us resulted in disturbing noise level !”

”This is not a standard hotel. It's a set of parked classic trailers (like Airstreams). Instead of a room or a suite you get a trailer - so it's basically a small apartment. Hotel management wants to keep the trailers as close to their original furnishings and mechanical systems as possible, but that's a challenge, so there are some things that don't work perfectly. ”Peggy the inn keeper was very personable and helpful, spending time with us to explain the history of the property and engaging us in conversations that made our stay extra special. The awesome Pueblo building was well-maintained while retaining its old charm; plus, the inn was a walking distance from the old town and easy drive to many sights of interest, It was a perfect base from which to enjoy the historic and cultural town of Taos.”

”My husband and I spent two nights during the off season (late September) and everything was perfect. Most of the amenities in the ski village itself were already closed, but the resort was quiet, the hot tub was open, the restaurant served us daily, and the setting (nestled in the crest of the mountains) was amazing. Highly recommend for travelers looking for a great stay in a beautiful location. We Loved it.”

”Great location.”
