Majatalot – Tavistock

”A dying village in the middle of the moors. The property was very old and while an attempt had been made to bring it back to life, the result is a very dated premises with poor plumbing. The hosts were very friendly and informative. Access was given the the outdoor kitchen, hot tub and garden.”

”Second stay at this lovely hotel, beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff. Great location to explore Dartmoor we will be back!”

”The area, the room, the owner, the atmosphere- everything was just perfect! We slept super well and enjoyed a good breakfast while chatting with other visitors and the owner. There are great restaurants nearby and if you arrive or leave by ferry, the guest house is just 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. We warmly recommend staying here! ”

”The staff were really helpful at all times. The food was also first class. Location just outside Buckfast was good, gentle walk to the Abbey”

”Nice clean room, comfortable and very helpful staff. Good breakfast choice.”

”The property doesn't have its own parking. There is free parking available on the street parallel to the entrance but this wasn't clear from the description. I appreciated the keyless nature of the accommodation. The gate lock can be a bit tricky to open. The room was clean and the bathroom was fantastic. They provide some food in the small lounge but I couldn't see anything gluten free.”
