”Good location, very clean and nice hotel.The dinner at the restaurant was delicious! Only reasons why I didn’t give 5 stars: service, room and view from the window. My first room was very tiny with super limited space for big luggage. A wonderful receptionist gave me a lot better room but the window was facing a parking lot, also the fridge in the room was very loud. I otherwise liked all the workers except one older woman at the reception, she was rude and lacking some customer service skills...

”I stayed in Bealey Quarter for 2 nights. Luckily I was out all days and only came to this place for sleeping. The place looks nice from the outside but the smell of food is overwhelming in the Lodge and the room smelled like mold. My fridge was leaking so I had to put a towel under it. After reporting it to the staff they did nothing, so they don’t seem to care that the place is falling apart. Shared bathrooms were in a surprisingly good shape. ”The guy on reception was very helpful and as we mentioned my other half watching English football in the morning he gave us a late checkout - boys and their football I booked an apartment as gives you that bit of extra space ! Kitchen and washer a god send - we are back here later in the week - We could walk to a tram stop and into town we also went to the casino last night no luck though ”

”The room was clean and very spacious and we could walk from the hotel to the centre of Christchurch. We had a a washing machine and dryer in the room which was wonderful. We were greeted with a great welcome even though we were late checking in and given real milk for our tea and our bags were stored after we checked out. We wrere directed to the best place to eat late at night after our arrival so - all in all a very friendly welcome and good amenities”
