”Wonderful old building, thoughtfully extended. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely friendly staff and a great breakfast. The pinnacle was the complimentary whisky in the lounge! What is not to like?”

”First off, we weren’t in the main hotel building, so I can’t comment on that other than it looked ok from reception. We were in the row of rooms to the right of of the main entrance, along the main road. A surprisingly noisy main road. The room was spacious, but stank of wet dog. Huge need for a bit of TLC to be spent improving the rooms, beds, bedding, towels, carpet etc. Definitely not worth the money spent on one night unfortunately, but this seems to be a trend with small hotels and i do...
