Please note that for stays of three nights or longer, we kindly request access to the property once every three days to water the plants in the house. Rest assured, our team member will be discreet and respectful of your space.

Vake, the upscale neighourhood of Tbilisi

Historically for the Georgian elite, Vake is a popular and upscale neighbourhood located in the heart of Tbilisi. It is situated on the left bank of the Mtkvari River, and it is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets, trendy cafes, upscale shops, and luxurious residential buildings.
Some of the popular landmarks in Vake include the Vake Park, Mziuri Park, Turtle Lake, and the open-air Ethnographic Museum of Georgia. When it comes to Turtle Lake there's a 20 minute hike that starts right at the doorstep of the house. Standing with you back to the entrance, go left and you're right in nature on your way to hike to Turtle lake, turn right and you're in a 20 minute walk right at Vake's main street Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue.
The neighbourhood is also home to some of the top universities in the country, including Tbilisi State University. As a result, Vake has a diverse and vibrant student population that contributes to the area's lively atmosphere. You will see that most people in Vake speak English very well!!

Getting around

To ensure you enjoy the best possible view, our house is nestled atop a picturesque hill, approximately 15-20 minutes' walk from Vake's main street, Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue. While there is no direct public transportation to the house, worry not - reaching this central location is a breeze.
The easiest and most convenient way to get to our retreat is by car. The journey from the main street of Vake, Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, takes only 5 minutes. Depending on your destination, it will take you approximately 10 to 15 minutes to reach the very centre of the city.Whether you choose to use your own vehicle or rent one, our spacious garage can accommodate two cars or even a mini van. For added convenience, free parking is available right outside the house, so there's no limit to your exploration unless you arrive with a giant bus!
For hassle-free transportation, you can rely on the popular Bolt taxi service. Simply order a taxi of your desired size, and the driver will swiftly whisk you to our doorstep in no time. Enjoy the freedom to explore Tbilisi and its surrounding areas with ease, while knowing you have a cozy and luxurious retreat waiting for your return.
Other things to note

Please be aware that on weekdays, particularly in the morning around 9 am and later in the afternoon after 2 pm, there may be traffic jams in the city. However, rest assured that our team is here to assist you. If you prefer, we can help arrange a rental car or organise a reliable driver to enhance your convenience during your stay.
