Cardinal cottage

We stayed here because of complications in our own home from a tornado. This was one of my favorite stays so far. The cottage sits on the owners property with plenty of privacy! They were very quick to answer questions! It was very clean and SO cute! The kids really enjoyed having alexa control the lights and tv. They recently added a pool and we loved sitting in it watching the AMAZING sunsets over the lake and then watching the stars. There's also an outdoor theater/ kitchen area to watch movies, listen to music, grill, and just hang out. Michael and Belinda were very sweet and made sure we were taken care of! We would definately recomend staying here!!

Spectacular Couples Retreat

Michael went out of his way to make our visit incredible despite the heat and dryness of this summer. He had a bottle of Chardonnay waiting for us to celebrate our anniversary. He was delightful to talk to and explained about the wildlife they get there. The Cottage itself was so comfortable and beautiful. Food in the area is top notch as well. And finally, the sunset view is spectacular. Do not miss a chance to book here. It is so worth it!

Hospitality at its finest on a beautiful property!

Belinda and Michael are the most considerate hosts I've ever experienced. Everything you could ever need is available, and they go out of their way with extras--both inside the cottage and outside on their amazing patio. I had a wonderful time and will be back if in the area again!

Peaceful escape

Property is in a quiet peaceful location with views of Lake Belton. Very relaxing but with all the amenities of home. Wifi and tv worked well in the cottage as well as on the casita area. Michael and Belinda are very friendly and easy to talk to but also respect your privacy. Cottage itself is clean and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Had a wonderful relaxing weekend getaway to visit our daughter at UMHB and will definitely return for future visits.

A trip to visit family nearby in an outdoor environment with a great lake view

Exceeded our expectations per the description and pictures of the property. We really enjoyed our stay The Cardinal Cottage! Michael and Belinda were extremely kind and accommodating and went out of his way to make our stay an exceptional one! The property and lake view were beautiful with deer around every evening and sometimes during the day. The gated property property made us feel secure. The cottage itself had many extras such as Alexa, Bluetooth in the bathroom, and comfy bed with adjustable head and foot as well as massagers. The patio and deck pictures don't do it justice. They are great! Very spacious. We would definitely stay again and can’t thank Michael and Belinda enough for making our stay so enjoyable!

Weekend Get Away for Our Anniversary

Great place to get away for a weekend or a week. The Cardinal Cottage was perfect for the two of us. Sitting out on the back patio for dinner with a phenomenal sunset, view of the lake and conversation with Belinda and Michael, great ending to our Saturday evening. Belinda and Michael are such a pleasure and and we high recommend them as hosts. We will be back!

Michael and Belinda were such gracious hosts and the property has a great lake view! They take excellent care of the grounds and entertaining patio and deck. Detached guest cottage means ultimate privacy! Excellent communication. Super easy check in and check out process! Wonderful stay.

Perfect getaway spot

This rental was delightful and the hosts are terrific. They were right there with anything we needed and went above and beyond in sharing a nice wine, a coupon for a tasting at a local winery, and offering some homemade pizzas. The cottage is very comfortable, but the highlight is the deck. We were blessed with perfect weather. Location is great—near to kayaking and hiking. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Get-away!

Beautiful lakeview and sunsets! The cottage was very spacious and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed grilling steaks and watching the Aggies beat Alabama on TV in the outdoor pavilion. Michael and Belinda were wonderful hosts. Hope to return soon!

Carnial Cottage

Its a very quit and friendly environment. A Home away from Home. There are deer and road runners on the property. A gated entrance gives you a piece of mind. The owners will do anything for you including delivering meals. As they state enter as a guest and leave as a friend. And you will enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Cardinal Cottage

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cardinal Cottage. The property is beautiful. Every morning and evening we saw multiple deer including fawns. My favorite part was sitting on the deck of the Pavilion in the morning (enjoying coffee) and evening. The sunsets on the deck are beautiful. We enjoyed it so much we plan to return.

Yes, there are cardinals at Cardinal Cottage!

If you’re looking for a quiet, country setting with a view of the lake, the cottage is a great choice. It’s modern. Clean. Relaxing. Comfortable. Alexa-enabled lights, fans, music, TV, etc. The hosts have thought of everything. Enjoy the TV inside the cottage, or better yet, head out to the pavilion to watch the outdoor big screen or listen to music. Be sure to catch the sun setting over the lake. Incredible. The property is high on a bluff, so the lake breeze (or ceiling fans) keep you cool. Light the table-top propane fire pit. Pour some wine. If that isn’t enough ambiance, stick around and maybe the deer will come into the yard, or cardinals will grab a few seeds off a feeder on the deck rail. We had a really great time. We felt safe. Pampered. Welcome. …and left super relaxed and recharged. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

Wonderful Space!

My mother and I stayed at the property and it is extremely well kept with lots of lovely details that the owners paid attention to. We especially enjoyed grilling out and watching a movie in the outdoor space. The sunsets were beautiful.

Wonderful, clean, great place to stay!

My 3 friends and I had a great time at the cardinal cottage! The cardinal cottage has 2 beds, perfect for the 4 of us. The beds were comfy and very clean. They had more than enough blankets and pillows for everyone. A big clean shower and plenty of towels as well! The pavillon and deck are amazing with a TV and a beautiful view! Michael and Belinda were very friendly and welcoming! They have everything you could possibly need or know where to find it somewhere close! They even washed the dishes since there is no sink in the kitchen area of the cardinal cottage. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back for another girls trip!!
